Our lovely trainer Suzanne is always looking for new and creative ways to make sure our Care Professionals are well prepared for anything they might come across while looking after our clients.

This week, as part of Basic Life Support training, Suzanne is trying out a new vest which will allow the team to practice assisting a client who is choking. Looking forward to giving it a go for the first time this week!

Hi, I’m Becky. I’ve worked as a Care Professional for Home Instead since September 2025. Working in care is not new to me I started working in a care home at the age of 14, helping out with cleaning and serving teas. Once I turned 18 I started caring and did my NVQ at the care home I was working at. Care is something I am passionate about, I love caring for others and putting a smile on our client’s faces. I have four beautiful children, 3 girls and 1 boy. I absolutely love being a mum to Ruby, Isla, Tilly and Harry. I also have a cat called Elsie.

Every year, Home Instead UK surveys all Clients, Care Professionals and Office Teams across the UK. The results are then shared with each local office so that the can celebrate what they are doing well, and make any improvements needed to be even better! Hi, my name is Laura. I have 2 lovely daughters called Phoebe and Olivia and a beautiful black labrador called Bailey. I have worked in homecare since 2012 and have loved everyday of my job. I get a great sense of satisfaction knowing I have made a positive difference to someone’s life and enabled them to stay at home.
Fun Fact- I can drive a tractor!
