Thank you to everyone who recently completed our patient questionnaire about the new surgery.

You are invited to attend a Patient Engagement Meeting with Downlands Medical Centre and Vita Healthcare – Manor Park Surgery, alongside a representative from Wealden District Council.

During the meeting we will explain our plans for the new surgery, and listen to any further comments, questions or concerns you may have.

Time: 1-2pm.

We are sorry to say that Dr Sally Holme a former Gp partner at Downlands passed away on 19th September 2025. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.

Please remember to ask for any required FIT notes at hospital appointments and before discharges following operations. Unfortunately we continue to receive a large number of queries and requests for notes that should be issued by the hospital team. This places unnecessary pressure on primary care and often results in unhappiness at being directed back to the relevant specialist team.

Service disruption. Along with other local surgeries we are experiencing massive connection issues affecting our ability to access patients clinical records. This was felt to be resolved twice today and normal service resumed, only for us to lose connectivity once more. The local ICB NHS team are aware and have been assisting throughout the day but issues are currently persisting.

Your patience and forbearance is appreciated.

URGENT NOTICE.

Unfortunately we are one of multiple Sussex NHS sites that have found ourselves with no internet connection this morning. This means we have no ability to access notes and severely hampered what we are able to do. We are hopeful this may be fixed shortly however as it stands our service is very disrupted.
