I teach yoga & movement, meditation & yoga nidra. I offer guided wellness classes & individual consultations. I am also a thai yoga massage practitioner. I have been on my own, long healing journey. So, I know what it is like to just want to be well. I am based in Jevington, a quirky little downland village near Eastbourne, East Sussex.

🧡 Top tips...

🧡 Start small. 5 or 10 mins is great.

🧡 Go for little wins & pat yourself on the back at every opportunity. The science tells us that this makes for sustainability.

🧡 Do it first thing. If I don't get up & do my practice, the day happens & it doesn't.

🧡 Explore, laugh & don't take any of it too seriously...

🧡 If you are anything like me, you'll want to understand how your body works & how to support it to work well...

🧡 We often hear that we need a good strong core. It is fundamental for stability & balance. Many back issues can be addressed by increased awareness & strength in the core....

🧡 BUT most exercises focus on the outer core muscles and in particular the re**us abdominis - the 6 pack... 

🧡 There are a number of muscles that make up the core & there is an inner core & an outer core. ALL these muscles need to be on board for you to have a healthy core. In fact over-emphasis on some of the outer core muscles can make problems worse rather than better. Going too strong too soon - ditto. This is about considered, careful progression.

🧡 Part of the puzzle is to recognise what these muscles feel like, how they work and how to exercise them. That looks like activating them individually with specific, targeted exercises.

🧡 Luckily, I can help you do just that...

🧡 Come to my workshop next Saturday 7th Feb at Wannock Village Hall to really explore the core...

🧡 I have run courses on the core before, this is different. We do cover the subtle squeeze of the transverse abdominis muscle - how could we not, it is so key to the functioning of the trunk. & also, we explore the pelvic floor, the internal & external obliques & the re**us abdominis. We will then put them all together, so we get a sense of them all as a whole...
