We recently had a fantastic summer BBQ with the team - a perfect chance to relax, enjoy some delicious food and drinks, and catch up with one another! 🍗🍔

Supporting someone with dementia at home? Here are some simple, practical ideas to make the home a safer and more comfortable space 🏠

1) Declutter and clear walkways to reduce fall risks
2) Use clear signage. Labels on doors and cupboards can support independence.
3) Change lighting if necessary - bright, even lighting helps reduce confusion.
4) Keep treasured photos and objects visible for comfort and connection.
5) Use clocks, whiteboards, or digital reminders to support routines.

Recently, we had the pleasure of attending both the Wealden Dementia Action Alliance and Eastbourne Dementia Action Alliance meetings. These gatherings were a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and explore new ways to support people living with dementia. 💚

We're proud to be part of these meaningful initiatives, working alongside passionate individuals and organisations who share our commitment to making a real difference!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Willingdon Community Café earlier this month!

Brett from Activity Time led an engaging interactive session featuring a quiz on famous faces and we did some sunny, summer-themed reminiscing.

🧠 Did you know? Quizzes help boost memory by encouraging retrieval practice, strengthening those all-important brain connections!
