During our visit to Turkey we have been staying close to one of the old seven wonders of the world- The Temple Of Artemis. This is situated close to Ephesus, which we visited last year. Nothing much stands of the temple now but would have looked grand back in the day. Over the years I’ve loved connecting with the goddesses from
Greek and Roman mythology. Especially when staying close by or visiting their temples or ruins dedicated to them.
Artemis- the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, vegetation and of chastity and childbirth.
She was associated by the Romans with Diana.
Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo.

Summer Solstice ☀️ (Midsummer, Litha)
The height of summer and the longest day of the year. The suns energy flows through us, we have more energy and we are full of possibility and adventure. We see nature in abundance, the flowers, birds, insects. We celebrate life's beauty and the joy it brings. We contemplate though, knowing that the light will start to change. But for now we enjoy, just for a while longer.
