I’m really proud to share that next year, I’ll be volunteering with Forgotten Feet in Barnsley. This is a cause that is very close to my heart, and one I feel incredibly passionate about supporting.

Forgotten Feet does amazing work caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our community, providing essential foot care, dignity, and compassion to those who need it most. Being able to use my skills to help make even a small difference means so much to me.

I’m truly looking forward to being part of this wonderful charity and giving back in a meaningful way. 💙
Thank you to Forgotten Feet for the incredible work you do — I can’t wait to get started.

What's milk got to do with your feet?

One of the essential nutrients for foot health is calcium.
Calcium is not only crucial for building and maintaining strong bones, but also for the health of our foot's 26 bones.
Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt are excellent sources of calcium.
Leafy green vegetables, such as kale and spinach, as well as fortified plant-based milk alternatives, like almond or soy milk, are great options for those following a vegan or lactose-free diet.

Tips for improving sleep and foot health

Elevate your feet: Placing a pillow under your feet at night can help reduce swelling.

Stretch before bed: Gently stretch your calf muscles before getting out of bed in the morning to help with tightness and pain.

Prioritize sleep: Aim for a consistent sleep schedule, as a full night's rest is crucial for your body's regenerative processes.

Address underlying conditions: Work with a doctor and podiatrist to treat any underlying conditions that might be causing pain and sleep problems.

Practice good sleep hygiene: Create a relaxing bedtime routine that may include a foot massage or moisturizing.

Self care is so important.

Did you know lack of sleep can affect your feet?

A lack of sleep can affect your feet by impairing their ability to heal, making conditions like plantar fasciitis or arthritis worse, and impacting your gait and balance. When you are asleep, your body repairs soft tissue and reduces inflammation, so poor sleep hinders this regeneration process, leading to more pain, especially in the morning.
