Your foot cream isn't working. Here's why.
It's missing urea, the one ingredient that actually repairs cracked heels, not just moisturises them.
Here's what urea does:

✅Penetrates deep (doesn't just sit on the surface)
✅Exfoliates dead skin (dissolves roughness and cracks)
✅Locks in moisture (keeps your feet soft, not just for an hour)
Most foot creams have 0-2% urea. That's not enough.
Restorate has 9%, 25%, and 30%, podiatrist-strength formulas designed to actually repair your feet.
Check your current cream's ingredients.
If urea isn't near the top, that's why it's not working.
👉 Check your current cream's label. No urea?
That's your answer. Shop podiatrist-strength formulas at our website 👉🏼 link in bio.

Wellness wednesday

Take a break

Taking regular breaks isn’t laziness — it’s essential for wellbeing and productivity. Here are the key benefits:

🧠 1. Improved focus and concentration

Short breaks help your brain reset, preventing mental fatigue and improving clarity.

⚡ 2. Increased productivity

Stepping away from a task can boost efficiency and creativity when you return.

😊 3. Reduced stress

Breaks lower cortisol levels and calm your nervous system, especially if you move, breathe deeply, or step outside.

💡 4. Better decision-making

Mental fatigue affects judgment. A pause helps you think more clearly and avoid mistakes.

💪 5. Physical health support

Standing, stretching, or walking during breaks reduces muscle tension, eye strain, and stiffness from prolonged sitting.

❤️ 6. Emotional regulation

Pausing gives space to respond rather than react — especially helpful during conflict or overwhelm.

Even 5–10 minutes away from a screen can make a difference.

Wellness wednesday

Here are the key benefits of healthy snacks:

🥕 1. Steady energy levels
Healthy snacks help maintain stable blood sugar, preventing energy crashes and afternoon slumps.

🧠 2. Improved concentration
Balanced snacks (protein + fibre + healthy fats) support brain function and mental focus.

⚖️ 3. Better appetite control
Eating nutritious snacks between meals can reduce overeating later in the day.

❤️ 4. Supports heart health
Snacks like nuts, seeds, fruit, and yogurt provide fibre, antioxidants, and healthy fats that support cardiovascular health.

💪 5. Helps maintain a healthy weight
Planned, balanced snacks can prevent impulsive choices and reduce cravings for high-sugar foods.

🦴 6. Nutrient boost
Healthy snacks increase your intake of important vitamins and minerals (e.g., calcium from yogurt, vitamin C from fruit, iron from nuts and seeds).

✅ Examples of healthy snacks:

Apple with peanut butter

Greek yogurt with berries

Handful of almonds or walnuts

Hummus with carrot or cucumber sticks

Boiled eggs

Oatcakes with avocado

Did you make a new years resolution that you are struggling to keep.

My resolution was to do a gratitude journal daily.

Wellness wednesday

Benefits of cold showers
Cold showers are simple, free, and surprisingly powerful. Here are some of the main benefits:

1. Boosted mood
Cold water stimulates the release of endorphins and norepinephrine, which can help improve mood and reduce symptoms of low mood.

2. Increased alertness
The sudden cold exposure increases heart rate and oxygen intake, helping you feel more awake and focused.

3. Improved circulation
Cold water encourages blood to move toward your vital organs, which may support overall cardiovascular function over time.

4. Reduced muscle soreness
Often used by athletes, cold exposure can help reduce inflammation and muscle soreness after exercise.

5. Stronger stress tolerance
Regular cold exposure may help train your nervous system to handle stress more effectively, building resilience.

6. Skin and hair benefits
Cold water can help tighten pores temporarily and may prevent skin and hair from drying out as much as hot water can.

Tip: Start gradually — finish your normal shower with 30 seconds of cold water and slowly increase the time as your body adapts.

⚠️ Who Should Be Cautious or Avoid Cold Showers

Cold exposure is not suitable for everyone. Speak to a GP before trying it if you have:

Heart conditions or cardiovascular disease

High blood pressure (especially uncontrolled)

Raynaud’s phenomenon

Respiratory conditions triggered by cold

History of fainting or blackouts

Are pregnant (check with your doctor first)

The initial “cold shock” response can cause a rapid spike in heart rate and blood pressure.
