Witch bells have a long & fascinating history, rooted in folk magic & household protection 🖤🔔

Traditionally hung on doors, hearths & thresholds, bells were believed to ward off unwanted energies, spirits & ill intent. The sound itself is the magic, ringing to cleanse a space, break stagnant energy & alert the home to what was crossing the boundary💚

In many European folk traditions, iron bells were especially sought after as iron was thought to repel harmful forces. Over time, witch bells became both protective tools & devotional objects, often dressed with charms, keys, ribbons, or herbs to personalise their magic 💚

I have several witch bells hanging around my home... On doors, tucked near entrances, quietly doing their work. Every time they chime, it feels like a gentle reminder that my space is held, protected & cared for 💚

Not loud or dramatic. Just steady, ancient magic woven into everyday life 💚

Tonight we welcome the Snow Moon ❄️🌕

Traditionally named for the heavy snows that often fell at this point in the year, the Snow Moon rises during Winter’s final stretch.

Energetically, this moon carries themes of resilience, patience &inner strength. On the surface, the world may still feel cold and still, but beneath it, change is already happening. Seeds are preparing, light is returning & life is quietly organising itself.

This is a beautiful moon for:
🌕 Reflecting on what has carried you through the darker months
🌕 Releasing exhaustion & Winter heaviness
🌕 Reconnecting with your inner fire as we edge closer to Spring

You don’t need to do much tonight. Sometimes the Snow Moon simply asks us to pause, breathe & honour how far we’ve already come 🫶

Keep a small jar of dried rose petals on your altar or windowsill. You can see these ones are well loved

Roses carry the energy of love, harmony & protection. Sprinkle a few petals into a bath to soften heavy emotions, tuck them into a letter or journal page to infuse intentions with care, or burn them lightly on charcoal when you’re calling in self love and compassion

Simple magic. Old magic. The kind that works quietly, over time

You might know us from the woods & our online workshops or our courses, but this year you’ll also be able to find us out & about at a variety of fayres across the county, bringing our work to new spaces & new faces 😍

We’re excited to share that Callisto Holistics will be at the Health & Healing Festivals in Pusdey on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd of February 🌿

We’ll be offering free talks on Shinrin-Yoku & Shadow Work, sharing how these practices can support grounding, reflection & deep personal wellness. Our shop will also be open, so you can browse our offerings, ask questions & have a proper chat with us in person🫶
