👋 Say hello to me - Karen – Owner of Baby Sensory Pontefract 💛💚

Hi everyone, I’m Karen, the proud owner of Baby Sensory Pontefract. I live in Campsall with my wonderful family my husband Mr Baby Sensory (Jamie) who you’ll often find organising and helping down in the hub, and our two children, Ezra who is 5, and has just started Year 1 and Navy turning 2 in November 💛

I’ve been running Baby Sensory classes in Pontefract for 4½ years now, and it’s been such an amazing journey to see the business grow and to create special memories with so many families.

One of the best things I’ve ever done is opening our very own Baby Sensory Hub, which is now 18 months old! Having a dedicated space for all things Baby Sensory has been such a dream come true. The sense of community, the safe, non-judgemental space it brings to parents and caregivers, and the connections I see forming every single week are just incredible.

I first fell in love with Baby Sensory when I had Ezra during lockdown. We started with online classes, but when we finally got into in person sessions, it was magical. It’s where I met one of my best friends, and we’ve shared so many memories watching our babies grow together. That’s still one of my favorite things about Baby Sensory the friendships, the shared experiences, and of course, watching all the adorable babies grow and thrive 🥰

🌟 Meet the Team – Claire🌟

With Autumn term starting in just 2 days I thought we’d introduce ourselves. We’re so lucky to have the lovely Claire running our Monday & Wednesday Baby Sensory classes 💛

Here’s a little about her in her own words:

✨ “I’m Claire, and I’ve been part of the Baby Sensory team for the past 2 years. For those who don’t know, I ran Toddler Sense classes in Wakefield for over 4 ½ years. I loved the chaos, fun, and energy that comes with toddlers they never fail to make me laugh

I have a little boy, Ethan, who’s now 7 (though he’s often mistaken for 10 with how tall he is!). You’ll usually find me by the side of a football pitch or watching karate training he’s always been a whirlwind of energy and I wouldn’t have him any other way 😂.

It feels like only yesterday I was bringing Ethan along to his own Baby Sensory classes that’s where I first fell in love with the magic of Baby Sensory as a new mum. Now it’s come full circle, and I feel so privileged to help other parents make magical memories with their little ones.

I can’t wait to meet you all and to see how much our returning little stars have grown!” 💛✨

I’ve had a few people message recently asking if we offer trial spaces. We can’t always make them available (as classes usually fill up fast), but the good news is we still have some availability for next week🎉

This is a fantastic opportunity if you’ve never tried Baby Sensory before and want to experience a class before signing up to a full term.

✨ Trial Options:
💛 1-week trial – £9
💛 3-week mini term – £27 (I always recommend this one, as it gives you and your baby a real feel for what our classes are like)

📅 Classes run Monday to Friday and start w/c 8th September at our very iwn venue - The Baby Sensory Hub (11–13 High Street, WF11 8NQ).

✨ Good luck to all the little ones starting or returning to school this week✨

I waved Ezra off today for their very first day of Year 1 and Claire waved Ethan off for year 3 yesterday💚 It feels so surreal to think that when I first started delivering Baby Sensory classes almost 5 years ago, some of those babies are now walking through the school gates themselves for the very first time. Time really does fly and I hope all you parents are ok I know how hard it is to let them go and fly but you’ve given them the most amazing first start in life it’s time to let them fly 💛

Now that the kids are back in the classroom, it’s almost time for Baby Sensory to return too. Our autumn term starts next week, and it’s going to be a magical one. 🍂✨

💫 New purchase alert 💫

After being influenced by and I couldn't resist making sure our mats at Baby Sensory Pontefract are kept just as sparkling and clean with this Vax SpotWash 🧼

Hygiene is absolutely everything when it comes to your little ones and just look what came out of the mats 🤢(bearing in mind these mats are mopped before every class and looked "clean" to the eye)

🧼 Our mats are:
✅ Steam mopped before every single class
✅ Deep cleaned every single term
✅ Never walked on with outdoor shoes - only socks are allowed

Why? Because babies are crawling, touching, and sometimes putting their little hands (and anything else) straight into their mouths. Keeping our environment spotless means you can relax knowing your baby is exploring in a safe, hygienic space
