What a fabulous afternoon we have in planned today! Our residents and staff are coming together for a groovy Disco Party, and the atmosphere will be full of music, dancing, and plenty of sparkle. 🎶💃🕺

Our amazing staff have pulled out all the stops, dressing up in styles from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s – from flower power to disco glam to neon fun! 🌸🕶️✨

The laughter, singing, and dancing will make it a day to remember – full of joy, memories, and lots of smiles all around. 💖

Sarah attended our forget me knot meeting today bringing some gifts for the service.

“Earlier this year, my dad spent his final months at Warde Aldam. The care, kindness, and dignity shown to him – and to us as a family – meant more than words can say.

After Dad’s funeral, I wanted to give something back in his memory. In consultation with the team, we decided to purchase some Joy for All companion pets for the service. These lovely pets bring comfort, companionship, and smiles to residents, especially those living with dementia.

It’s my hope that these will bring a little extra joy, just as the staff here brought joy to my dad’s days. “💛

🎶 Music Week Celebrations at Warde Aldam! 🎶

What a wonderful time we’ve had celebrating Music Week here at Warde Aldam! 🌞 The sun stayed out just for us, and our residents enjoyed a joyful afternoon of music, laughter, and community spirit.

We were especially delighted to be joined by the Wellbeing Coordinator from the Prince of Wales Hospice, whose presence added an extra touch of warmth to the day. 💜

From singing along to dancing feet, the smiles said it all – fun was truly had by all! Thank you to everyone who made the day so special. Here’s to more music, more joy, and more moments like these! 🎤💃

🌱 From Pandemic to Planting – A Heartwarming Transformation 🌱

We’re excited to share a lovely update from Warde Aldam.

Remember the clear dome we used during the Covid pandemic to help families safely visit their loved ones? Thanks to the kindness and creativity of one of our residents’ families, it’s found a brand new purpose — as a greenhouse on their local allotment! 🌿🌼

What was once a symbol of resilience and connection during challenging times is now helping new life grow — quite literally. The repurposed dome is being used to grow fresh fruit and veg, bringing joy, sustainability, and a touch of sunshine to the community.

A huge thank you to the family for turning something so meaningful into something so positive. It’s a beautiful reminder that even after difficult times, something good can still blossom. 💚
