🌱 A Lovely Day of Gardening and Community at Warde Aldam 🌱
We were delighted to welcome the Exodus Children’s Group to Warde Aldam for a fantastic day of gardening and planting with our residents.
The children spent time working alongside residents to refresh our planters, share conversations, and enjoy being outdoors together. There was lots of laughter, learning, and teamwork as different generations came together to nurture our garden spaces 🌼🪴
These moments of connection are incredibly special for our residents and help build strong links with our local community. A huge thank you to the Exodus Children’s Group and everyone involved for making the visit so enjoyable and meaningful.

Today we say a heartfelt goodbye to a truly special member of our team, Shirley Jackson, who retires after an incredible 23 years of dedicated service at Warde Aldam 💐

Shirley has been a valued part of our housekeeping team, bringing warmth, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to excellence every single day. Her hard work has helped make Warde Aldam a welcoming and comfortable home for all who live and visit here.

She will be greatly missed by colleagues, residents, and friends alike, but we are so excited for her as she begins this new chapter of retirement.

Thank you, Shirley, for everything you have given over the years. We wish you many happy, relaxing, and well-deserved days ahead! 💖

🎉 Our Tea Party is officially underway! 🎉

What a fantastic way to kick off our summer activities here at Warde Aldam! Today marks the first of many exciting events, and we’re so pleased to see everyone coming together to celebrate.

We have plenty to look forward to in the coming months, including our much-anticipated Music Week in June 🎶 and our Summer Fair in late July ☀️

We’re really looking forward to welcoming more people to our service and sharing these special moments with our community. Stay tuned for more updates and photos! 💛

What a wonderful time we had celebrating Easter here at Warde Aldam! Our residents enjoyed a day filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of festive fun. From delicious Easter treats to lovely decorations and great company, it truly was a special occasion for everyone. 💛

🌟 A Wonderful Visit from the Morris Dobson Museum! 🌟
This week at Warde Aldam, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jane from the Morris Dobson Museum in Darfield, Barnsley for an afternoon of nostalgia, conversation, and shared memories.
Jane brought along a fantastic collection of historic items that sparked lively discussion among our residents. It was lovely to see everyone reminiscing, sharing their own knowledge, and connecting over memories from years gone by. Even Jane said she learned a few new things from our residents—which says a lot about the wisdom and experience in our home!
A huge thank you to the Morris Dobson Museum for giving their time and for allowing us to share photos of the visit on Facebook. It was a truly enriching afternoon enjoyed by all.
We’re already looking forward to the next visit!
