Donna Morris Physiotherapy

Donna Morris Physiotherapy Donna Morris BSc (Hons), MSc, CSP

Extended Scope Physiotherapy Practitioner Neurosurgery: Spine My name is Donna Morris and I’m a physiotherapist.

I specialise in the diagnosis and management of complex spine problems and also work as part of the complex spine neurosurgery service at the RVI in Newcastle upon Tyne. I completed my undergraduate physiotherapy training in 2004 and shortly after specialised in musculoskeletal clinical practice. An MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (Manipulative Therapy) followed in 2011 and in 2019 I qualified as a Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). I have worked continually in the NHS and have experience of working with some of the region’s best (in my opinion) amateur rugby teams including the Northumberland representative county rugby teams. I come from a diverse sporting background including gymnastics, rowing, martial arts, running, CrossFit and climbing to name a few. These sports have given me an appreciation of the demands that we place on our bodies whether this be the stresses and strains of work or the demands of high-performance sport. I work with my clients to optimise their rehabilitation potential. Treatments can include ‘hands on’ approaches such as manual therapy, massage, taping and acupuncture or more active rehabilitation strategies such as exercise, advice and education.
