RIP Alice Webb.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Alice’s family at this incredibly sad time.

This should not be happening and more legislation is needed to prevent this from happening again. As a registered nurse and an advanced medical nurse practitioner, patient safety always comes first.

There needs to be more legislation and I look forward to discussing this with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) on Wednesday. I have also written to my MP and await a response.

I urge you to please be vigilant when choosing an ‘aesthetic practitioner’ please make sure they are a fully qualified medical practitioner and are on a professional register, whether that be the NMC, GMC or GDC.

I can’t believe it’s been a week since attending a two day Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative Conference (CMAC).

I haven’t had a minute to breathe these last few days let alone post anything but thought I’d just share a few photos with you.

There were Global experts that shared case studies and the latest research in non surgical medical aesthetics. To say it was an intense two days is an understatement

Was it worth it? Absolutely!!! 110% and more!!

I’ve learned so much these last two days. I appreciate and thank all the speakers that have presented in sharing their experiences and knowledge.

The second day ended on a high and did not disappoint. It was so lovely to see a good turn out of BACN nurses there too. After the conference ended we moved on up to the rooftop bar of the Savoy IET for champagne and canapés with old friends, new friends and colleagues, which was lovely 🥂

I’m absolutely exhausted now and have ‘cankles’ which will take me a good two weeks to get rid of 😂 but I am so thankful and grateful that I was able to attend such a prestigious conference.

Thank you CMAC for such an epic two days…. I can’t wait for next year!! Oh and apparently my Mum is coming next year! Thanks Tom! 😂
