Deputy Care Home Manager

Cliffdale Care Home is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to support the effective leadership and management of the service, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations and the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care.

Salary: £15.50 per hour, plus on-call allowance

Role Overview
The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the home. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development, and ensuring the service remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the care home

Ensure compliance with CQC standards and all relevant legislation

Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to senior staff and care teams when working the floor.

Promote and deliver high-quality, safe, and effective person-centred care

Oversee and support the use of electronic care planning and medication systems

Ensure care plans are accurate, regularly reviewed, and reflective of residents’ needs

Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes

Undertake administrative duties to support the effective running of the service

Support staff training, development, and performance management

Person Specification
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (desirable or willingness to work towards)

Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a care home setting

Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements

Experience with electronic care planning and medication management systems

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

A professional, compassionate, and proactive approach
