I have a tip for you which could save you money and hassle.
MEDICATION
If you have medication on your repeat prescription, safe to say everyone assumes you take it. If you do not need nor take it ask your surgery to delete it obviously apart from things like random sporadic painkillers. If you need it but don’t take it that’s your choice obviously.
I see several drivers a month on medication and they state they don’t need it anymore but it’s still on the repeat list such as diabetes or blood pressure medication after weight loss. If you don’t need it and don’t take it… GET RID OF IT.
Secondly, I see drivers who don’t know WHY they are taking medication. Every surgery these days can offer an explanation or easier still ask your pharmacist for a medication review.
HOW CAN IT SAVE ME MONEY? when a doctor, nurse, pharmacist looks at your repeat its like having a microchip, we can predict what ailments you have by just the repeat medication.
If you clean up your list of unnecessary medications some insurance policies are more favourable… notably travel insurance.
If you have an accident or fall ill with unnecessary medications on your list for a resolved condition, YOU ARE RISKING THE VALIDITY OF THAT INSURANCE because the get out clause is that the details offered to the insurance company may or were not accurate on the date of purchase.
Hope that’s helpful.
