The next Mamhilad Walk & Talk Network will be on Thursday 28th July.

Meet me outside Cafe on the Park from 8.20am ready to set off at 8.30am.

We will take advantage of the fabulous new which begins behind the cafe and takes around 20-30 mins to walk.

Its a beautiful shady and cool walk through the trees and the best time to get out before the sun gets too hot.

It's a fairly flat and even path made of wood chips so best to wear flat enclosed shoes if you want to avoid having shoes full of wood chips!

The aim is for the businesses on and off the park to get to know each other and spend some time in nature enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Bring your business cards and sense of fun and adventure.

Today we started a sugar free challange. We haven't changed what we would normally eat other than making sure that we aren't having any added sugar.

We've been challenged to try to include more protein at breakfast to even out our blood sugars.

Today breakfast was porridge, made with unsweetened almond milk with raisins, coconut flakes, flax, flaked almonds, pecans, pumpkin seeds and peanut butter for extra protein.

Lunch was homemade hummus with corn cakes (similar to rice cakes) and sticks of pepper, carrot and cucumber.

Dinner was brown basmati rice with homemade curry with sweet potato, butternut and lots of yummy vegetables.

Pudding this evening is fresh raspberries, strawberries and blueberries with soya yoghurt.

We've been for a lovely sunny walk at Llandegfedd reservoir too!

Spring is a perfect time to start making changes to our routines and habits as we look forward to brighter and warmer weather.

By summer we're looking forward to feeling fitter, healthier and slimmer!
