Part of my seminary yesterday was expression of trauma through lyric replacement. Each group had to imagine a different child’s perspective. This is the one that really moved me.

This is a child who has not had a secure base and a loving mother/ child relationship. They have not had reassurance, care and kindness.

It is to the verse of We Will Rock You.

These are adults who work with children every day and see the pain first hand.

I was taking time for myself today walking with my dogs.
I looked at the water and was drawn to the reflection.
I often struggle with how others see me and who I really am.
This reflection was exactly the same as the picture just reversed.
How often do we alter ourselves to fit in? How often do we hide parts of ourselves?

Your reflection is perfect. Be you for you and not for other people.
