Good Morning Everyone,

Ty Bryn is looking for a hairdresser that would be willing to come in once a week so that our wonderful residents can have their hair done. We would be looking for someone that is able to complete Perms and sets for the women as well as general tidying up. We would need someone to also be able to give our gents their hair cut as well.

Ty Bryn is looking to complete some refurbishments within our building towards the end of 2025. We are looking for local and reliable companies that would be interested in providing us with a quotation 🖊

We would need a company to be flexible due to the complexity of timeframes within the home.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

We hope you have had an amazing start to your week. We all had an amazing day on Friday with our "Hawaiian Day: Ty Bryn Edition".

Ty Bryn had mocktails, Fruit salads, savoury snacks and Plenty of squash 🍹

All of our residents had an amazing day and we all fully embraced the true Aloha spirit. We have plenty more days planned by our Activities team which will allow our Residents to experience other cultures from around the world 🌍

We will keep you posted on the details of our next adventures soon 🌈

Good Afternoon Everyone,

We hope you are all enjoying the latest heatwave that is covering Wales and the rest of the UK ☀️

We are building up to our "Hawaiian Day" this Friday and preparation is well underway 🏝🇺🇸

We will be having our very own "Ty Bryn Mocktails 🍹" as well as plenty of Hawaiian themed activities for our wonderful residents to take part in. We will also be doing our very best in dressing up in Hawaiian Clothes and showing our inner "Moana" and "Maui".

We will be sure to keep photos posted on here, however, if you have a family member or friend currently staying with us then please make sure that you are following our Private families page where photo's of your loved ones will be posted throughout the course of the day 📸 We also post on those pages regularly ✅

One of the most common phases in Hawaii is "Aloha" which is often used to describe "Love, affection, peace and compassion"

In that spirit = we wish Aloha to everyone 🇺🇸

Good Afternoon everyone,

It has been a little while since we have posted, but , we are back full time again and ready to show and tell you all about Ty Bryn 😁

The last month we have done many things with our residents such as: taken them shopping, taken them to a local arts and crafts club, had entertainment performances within the home as well as celebrating fathers day 🥳

As you can imagine, with the weather slowly improving over time and more sustained warmer weather it has been very warm up at Ty Bryn but fear not, we have made sure our residents have been kept as cool as possible and also as protected as possible should they choose to sit in the sunshine. We have certainly had one or two ice lolly's being opened over the last few weeks 😅

Good Afternoon Everyone,

We hope that you are doing well this week. The weather has changed this week but we are still seeing sunshine pouring through at times which is fantastic to see 🌦

We have had a busy week so far at Ty Bryn. We have had residents once again visiting a Local Care home to see their Resident's Choir, and we have also had Care Homes visiting us this week which has been fantastic for everyone 😃

Good Afternoon everyone,

It is another scorcher outside today with us in Abersychan ☀️

We have had residents outside sitting in the garden today basking in the sunshine whilst playing games with staff and having some ice-cold refreshments 🧊🧃

It is fantastic to see so many smiles today outside getting some well earned sunshine ☀️

Good Afternoon everyone,

We hope you have had a fantastic week so far.

We have had a few of our amazing residents visit a neighbouring care home today to see their Resident Choir. Needless to say they absolutely loved the experience, with one resident saying it was "one of the best days of their life". We cannot wait to arrange this again for our amazing residents.

We have also had some amazing flowers blooming with the warm weather which has been a joy for the residents to see.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

We hope you have all had an amazing VE Day 🇬🇧

We have all very much enjoyed the celebrations today. The residents have all had an amazing time. We have had: A buffet lunch, a Tribute WWII singer spreading the joy and Celebrations, a VE Day cake and also Union Jack hats and Flags being waved by all 🇬🇧

We had the TVs on all day so that we could watch the Events that were taking place across the whole of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 including the 2 minute silence which was observed by all at Midday.

We hope you were able to celebrate with loved ones today, wherever you may have been 🥳

Good Afternoon Everyone,

We hope that you enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend and were able to enjoy some of the Lovely weather that came with it ☀️

It is a very special week this week at Ty Bryn, We have one of our Residents celebrating their 104th Birthday today which is fantastic. The resident would have been 24 years old on VE Day 🥳

It is also the VE Day celebrations this week marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe. For many of our residents, they will have lived through this extraordinary time and would have some part to play. We have many things planned such as a Afternoon Tea on Thursday along with a singer to mark the special day as well as Bunting, Party food and also watching the Celebrations on the Television, 🖥. The Residents will be enjoying a good old fashioned buffet to mark the occasion 🥖

As 80 years have passed since an Unconditional German Surrender, We remember the celebrations that were seen within London and around the UK. Winston Churchill said “My dear friends, this is your hour. This is not victory of a party or of any class. It’s a victory of the great British nation as a whole. We were the first, in this ancient island, to draw the sword against tyranny."

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Now the dust has settled on Easter 2025, we really hope that you had a prosperous and enjoyable Easter 🐥

Also a BIG Thank you to everyone who attended the Easter Party on Saturday for Residents and their families. It was fantastic to see so many people there. It was also amazing to see so many Children there also celebrating with the Residents - The Residents had an amazing time 😊

It was also brilliant to have Animals Interactive with us yesterday. They are a wonderful company who give people like our amazing residents the opportunity to see exotic animals first hand. We had animals from Meerkats, Spiders, Snakes, Guinea Pigs and even an incredibly rare Russian Black Fox which had been rescued the day before in Somerset, England. So, a massive thanks to the Girls from Animals Interactive - Residents, Staff and youngsters were thrilled with the experience and one or two people even managed to conquer their fears 🫣😳🦊🐍🐗🐺 So from everyone at Ty Bryn a massive THANK YOU 👏👏
