Excited to deliver this course with Lisa Gordon-Clark of PlayFully, this time without a 5 week old baby who wasn't gaining weight fast enough for professional's liking... ❤️

We are hosting it in the most gorgeous therapeutic centre in Newport, easily accessible from M4 and train/bus stations, so you could make a May Day bank holiday out of it.

If you are, or know a Play Therapist who is available on May 2nd and 3rd for some CPD to support families by teaching them Play Therapy skills then please come along.

We are both clinical supervisors, tutors and Play Therapists who walk the walk. I'm a University of South Wales Play Therapy alumni and Lisa was the lead for University of Roehampton Online Play Therapy courses so lots of experience in the room.

Just a girl cuddling her teddy bear who she put a hat on, with mess in the background, coming with her mummy to remind you that:

You haven't failed if your child isn't picking up A level results today.

You haven't failed if your EHCP/IDP meetings take longer than parents' evenings.

You haven't failed if you're the one educating your child, and exams would be something that trigger them or cause an internal storm.

And if you have, and you're proud of them and shout that across the rooftops today, that's okay too. I can imagine you are an expert on accomodations and making sure your child is valued for who they are.

School is not the be all and end all, and I know many amazing Play Therapists who took a different route in to supporting children and their families.

At the top, triumphantly reaching your destination?

Missing a step or two, and tripping?

In a crumpled heap?

Wherever you are, I don't believe you've failed.

I believe we can take it, step by step, and find the path that works best for you and your family, no matter how that looks to anyone else.

Out of office!

I realised on Sunday when the lovely Calming the storms counselling shouted my name, just before the finish line (well maybe afterwards, I was still trying to get to the end of the fabulous Mic Morris Torfaen 10k !) that some of you may not know yet that I did start couch to 5k last June, then finally finished it this Jan and have now run a few longer races! It's been a tonic in a tough time, even on the days my body hurts and I've loved getting my family involved in moving more.

But we are out of office to refresh, not to run really! So take gentle care, don't forget my online resources are available to buy when I am not around, and that I am to cheer you on as beautifully as Sophie from Torfaen Talks CIC did, and Lorna, thank you 🥰🎉

8 email support sessions that you can use anytime between now and December 2025.

Who can't access this?

If you or your child are currently at risk of self-harm and thoughts to end life (not sure what FB will allow words wise) then this isn't suitable as it's not instant replies.

If our children know each other then it's not suitable.

If your child is already in therapy then I'd suggest chatting to their therapist - this is support for you but we are all trained in different ways.

Who can?

If you are looking for support for yourself while your child's needs mean you can't always make appointments on time then this could work for you.

Well I lost my social media story, it is the end of the day after all... but what a lovely start to the day I had with a very quick mile and a bit run to try and improve my pace, then the launch event of WIBN South Wales Cwmbran chapter at Llanyravon Golf Club catered by the yummy TEN Bar & Kitchen

Super exciting to see a few I know, Mamau Ffit Spiritually Fit Coaching Charlott Fagergard Mini First Aid Cardiff & Newport (who probably thinks I only go to events she is going to be at 😆) Lyn Jones and Calming the storms counselling as well as a whole host of amazing women that I hope to get to know more, if my timetable from Sept works.

With a whole lot of personal things going on, it's been easy to lose focus and confidence in the amazing business I've been building over the last 6 years, so today was a good reminder that there's still more to come, and in a way that works for me and the families I support. ⛵

2 Testers wanted!

Email support being offered over the summer holidays for 2 parents or carers.

This will be at a reduced cost to pilot the new technology I am using for the emails, and service.

It's not suitable if we are friends offline and/or our children are friends, but could be suitable for someone you know so feel free to share or to ask more questions.
