As a child and teenager I had dreams that were prophetic and just seemed to have an inner knowing that something was about to happen. I had my first Tarot Deck at the age of 15, and instinctively started to read them for some of my family and friends. The knowing that a Teacher would be off school ill or a Fire Alarm would go off, was kept to myself for fear of name calling or ridicule, I soon started ignoring the knowing. The inner voice was silenced. Then in 2017 I had a back injury that resulted in 10 months of bed rest. During that time I learnt the art of Mediation, to help with pain and depression and 'accidently' came across Youtube videos on Tarot Readings, Horoscopes and 'New Age' teachings. Meditation and Chakra work helped me to connect back into my inner knowing. My intuition came back online and with some added upgrades. My interest was peaked again, and once I was on my feet I dusted off my Cards and began practising again, and also learning their traditional meanings. I soon began to find a similarity between Tarot Cards and Metaphors. For example, 3 of Swords in the Tarot symbolises Heart break. If someone experiences a relationship break up or a loved one has hurt them deeply, they may describe themselves as 'being stabbed through the heart'. The symbolism of this card is also 3 Swords through a heart. This and other cards started giving me a deeper insight to how someone is describing their life and how it is showing up for them. Its like another string to my bow, in understanding how someone is feeling their thinking, and what possible options are available to them. Reading the cards is like reading people. It's their story and they hold the answers, I simply interpret them, I give them the lines that join the dots so they know where they stand in their life. With some additional coaching, assist them in taking some solid steps to change, progression and growth. The Law of Attraction. The Mastery of Manifestation. I came across The Secret 4 years ago, I was so late to that party, but I instantly recognised it as the principles of the work I've done with Break Free and Thrive and NLP. What we focus on expands! Yes, The Secret is much more in depth than just focusing on the thinking about what we want. We all know its 'easier said than done' when someone is stuck in 'stinking thinking' or is 'negative nelly'. No judgement from me, I can be a moaner like the best of them. However what I now know is that thinking and actions go hand in hand. If we don't know where we stand in our lives, what steps to take or actions to be taken can be baffling. When you then throw in self doubt, lack of confidence or a deep seated unresolved trauma... just thinking our lives to be better, isn't going to work as fast as we would like. Getting to know exactly how thinking works and effects our actions is the secret to The Secret, and that's the real life changer. Dream Interpretation. We are all familiar with what symbols in dreams can mean, you don't need me or anyone to tell you that, its easily found on Google. What Google doesn't take into consideration is the Metaphorical meaning or the significance of the point at which the dreamer wakes up and how the Idiomatic language can hold the key to giving the dreamer, the deeper reason or bigger picture behind the dream. Dreams are your sleep state 'picture messages'. It's just they are harder to read than a word text, if you don't speak the language, or been on a dream analysis course ;). A re-occurring dream has a message you're not understanding, and therefore keep making the same mistake in your waking state. When I was struggling with my own Mental Health the Break Free & Thrive (BFT) and NLP approach was like nothing I had experienced. I instantly resonated with it and understood how I was feeling my thinking. This was a game changer, and I became more aware of the amount of people around me that were also feeling their thinking. I wanted to share what helped me. I signed up for the BFT Beyond NLP course, and that's where my passion for language and how people communicate became ignited. I am also an associate with the company and active crew member online, social media and a crew member on the NLP courses provided. I've completed 3 NLP courses and 2 other Personal Development courses that the company have held. It was during the numerous courses I've attended, that I picked up on the use of metaphors in everyday language and how we are all using them to describe our experience. These 'Turn of Phrases' reveal so much about how we are experiencing our life. In fact, Metaphors and Metaphorical Language is how the Right 'imagistic' side of the brain, is trying to communicate to the Left 'logic' side of the brain; this also happens in dream state, and why some re-occurring dreams are trying to tell us something, again we just dismiss this information. So the brain is trying to give us full picture of our 'stuck-ness'. Its just that we tend to take no notice of these metaphors, and carry on trying to logically think our way out of the stuck-ness! That's where 'the missing piece' is, in the Metaphors! .. after I completed 3 of the Metaphors of Movement course's, I discovered just how I can help interpret the right side of the brain, to the left side, The end result is new information and new thinking. An understanding of what's really going on, where you stand and the options and choices available before you take steps. When I combine this passion and skill set with the BFT work and the NLP, I can guide anyone to a new thought, or a full on lightbulb moment. For me, hearing someone say 'I hadn't thought of it that way, that makes a difference' is what lights me up. Seeing other's have the lightbulb moments, that I initially had with BFT sessions, is what drives me to want to show others they too can change their thinking and their lives. Qualifications. NLP
