Unfortunately, the rain is stopping me from recording. As soon as the heavens clear, you can see me freezing my a$$ off again!

🥶Day 2 of cold water therapy🥶

Yesterday's cold water plunge didn't last that long, only 30-40 seconds, but it felt much longer! So today, I wanted to stay in for at least a minute, but I couldn't see my timer. Through many deep breaths and a lot of convincing, I stayed even longer than that.. without even knowing!

It made me realise that we're more capable than we let ourselves believe!

It's important to remember that good things come to those who are patient and consistent with themselves.

We can reach our goals. We have our power cultivated from within and the support from loved ones around us.

Let's remember to take some time and truly feel our bodies and breath deep into our lungs today. Let's stretch those muscles and feel relaxed once more.

Yoga is for any and everyone. If you're a human (I suppose your dog can join too) and want to improve your strength and back pain, have better sleep and manage stress better, well, you better get on that matt!

Through yoga, we can improve our mind-body connection and feel a deeper sense of self🧘🏼‍♀️

And try and enjoy the sun if it decides to grace us one more time before summer ends!

Cardio vs weight training, which is better?

Well, they're both pretty great.

Cardio is great for heart health, fat loss, blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and more, but on the other hand weight training is great for building strength, protection from injuries, better balance and increasing your basal metabolic rate (the calories you burn during basic life-sustaining functions) with higher muscle mass.

Both together contribute to overall physical health and can give massive benefits if encorporated into your fitness regime.

Not a fan of Cardio or don't know much about weight training, comment, or pop me a DM and I can help you implement ways to include them in your workout plan✌🏻

Without further ado, here's a bit about me!

My name is Hope, and I'm a bit of a curly haired hippy who likes taking stupid photos, some of my dog (Ruby) too, hanging out with the super supportive man I love and SURFING!!!!🏄‍♀️🏄‍♀️

I'm quite simple, really.

But why the social media page I here you ask?

Well, I have started running Hopeful Pursuit (yes, there is a pun in there) because I want to help others reach their goals, this isn't to say I have reach mine with perfect harmony, no my friends, I am far from that. But I'm on this journey with you. Health is an ongoing (sometimes dramatic) journey. We have our ebbs and flows, but the main thing is we're on track to better ourselves, through the nourishment of our minds, bodies, and souls.

When we choose to lose weight or go on a diet because of a dislike for ourselves and our bodies, it's not sustainable and may cause negative consequences.

If we CHOOSE to do these things because we LOVE ourselves, we can not only reach our goals but we can sustain them!

Listen to your body✨️

We don't need to always push ourselves. Sometimes, we only need gentle, calming movements to refocus the mind and introduce compassion and love.

Moving your body doesn't require it to be an intense workout. It can be taking a stroll, doing a little yoga sequence, or even cleaning. All movements help to keep your muscles working and your heart pumping.

If you're not feeling up to it, show up in the little ways, show up in the ways that will help bring your forward, and that works for you at that time.

And don't forget to stay groovy✌🏻
