WCDP is a national charitable organisation that benefits and promotes the welfare of deaf and hard of hearing people throughout Wales.
We are a charity in Wales concerned with deafness. Our work extends right across Wales with registered offices in Pontypridd. We are an umbrella association working in partnership to provide support, advocacy, information and communication, work alongside those who are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and deafblind. We also run Communication Support Agency, providing British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters, Lip speakers and Speech to Text Operatives to facilitate language support to deaf and hard of hearing people. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about what we do.

Today is a reminder to pause, connect, and check in with those around us.
Take a moment to be kind to yourself and to others. 💚
Mental health matters and so does communication.
For many Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, feeling isolated or misunderstood can make life’s challenges even harder.
That’s why we’re committed to breaking down barriers and creating safe spaces where everyone can be seen, heard, and supported.
Let’s keep showing kindness in every conversation spoken, signed, or written.
Together, we can make sure no one faces their struggles alone.
Heddiw, cymerwch eiliad i cysylltu, a gofyn sut mae’r bobl o’ch cwmpas yn teimlo.
Cymerwch foment i fod yn garedig gyda chi’ch hun ac ag eraill. 💚
Mae iechyd meddwl yn bwysig.
I lawer o bobl Fyddar a Thrwm eu Clyw, gall unigrwydd neu deimlad o gael eich camddeall gwneud heriau bywyd yn teimlo’n drymach.
Dyna pam rydyn ni'n gweithio i dorri’r rhwystrau. I greu llefydd diogel lle gall pawb gael eu gweld, eu clywed, a’u cefnogi.
Gadewch inni barhau i ddangos caredigrwydd ym mhob sgwrs.
Gyda’n gilydd, gallwn sicrhau nad oes neb yn wynebu eu heriau ar eu pen eu hunain.

Please share with your networks – let’s make sure the Deaf community’s voice is heard loud and clear! 💬🤟
We invite you to a focus group to discuss the BSL (Wales) Bill. This is your chance to share views, ideas, and for the BSL Wales Bill.
12/09/2025
The next stage of the BSL (Wales) Bill is a call to discuss the proposed content of the BSL (Wales) Bill.
We need as many Deaf BSL signers or allies to come to one of these focus groups to offer your feedback.
This is IMPORTANT, please try to come to one of these focus groups. There will be others across Wales but today sharing the in-person event at Bridgend Deaf Club.
PLEASE SHARE with others in your email networks and inform members of your local deaf club as well, especially those digitally excluded.
Be the first to know and let us send you an email when Wales Council for Deaf People posts news and promotions. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
