Endometriosis, the invisible hell!
For 20 plus years I navigated stage 4 Endometriosis, the pain, the fatigue, the heavy heart, the flooding bleeding left me at times feeling like no one would ever really understand and many times made me feel like a failure. Medications, operations, consultants and still it continued to worsen.
With Endometriosis flare ups a woman can experience bleeding in tissue all around the body not just the womb area. Endometriosis has also been found in the throat, nose, lungs, heart, bladder, calves, brain and re**um along with other areas. The pain can be unbearable as there is no where for the blood to go, resulting in high levels of discomfort and inflammation in the body.
Thankfully my body continues to heal, energy medicine was the key for me personally. However, I will never forget the pain and suffering. I thank my body daily for working so hard to protect me during those flare ups and to anyone out there experiencing a similar journey please know that I am here.
To anyone caring or loving someone navigating Endometriosis please understand, they may look fine but in truth they could be masking many many symptoms and energetically your love and care around the time of a flare up is invaluable. I remember the eye rolls, the comments, it's just a period, etc, when all the time my body was burning inside. So the offer of a heat pad, a rest, a massage, a warm bath and so on is so very powerful.
