💙 FREE Carers’ Respite Programme – Starting 28th January 💙

Are you a carer in need of a well-deserved break? We’re delighted to share a FREE 6-week Carers’ Respite Programme, run weekly by RCT, starting Tuesday 28th January, 1–3pm.

✨ What’s included?
✔️ Completely free sessions for carers
✔️ Free respite care for your loved one, provided by Bluebird Care Pontypridd
✔️ Time to relax, recharge, and connect with others

🧡 Flexible options to suit you:
• Your loved one can be cared for at home, or
• You can bring them along to the session, where our carers will look after them in a separate room while you enjoy your break

We previously partnered with RCT on their pilot scheme, which was very successful. Carers really valued their 2-hour break, and their loved ones enjoyed games, activities, companionship, and refreshments in a safe and supportive environment.

There is a Carers’ Respite Programme taking place at Rhondda Sports Centre from November 7th, 2025, running every Friday from 12pm–2pm until December 19th
This programme, organised by RCT Leisure for Life, offers carers a chance to relax and recharge with:
Gentle exercise, mindfulness, and relaxation
Nutrition, diet, and exercise guidance
Information on carers’ rights, entitlements, and available support
We at Bluebird Care are proud to be providing the respite care for this programme.
Carers can choose either:
To bring their loved one to the leisure centre, where our Bluebird Care team will provide attentive care onsite, or
To have our care team look after them at home during the session time.
You don’t need to attend every session, and all support is completely free.
Please feel free to share this opportunity with anyone who may benefit, it’s a lovely way for carers to take time for themselves while knowing their loved ones are in safe hands.
