We recently enjoyed a cosy winter trip to Compton Valence 🚌❄️

Residents enjoyed wildlife sightings, homemade soup and cakes, and a surprise birthday singalong for Companion Corinne on the minibus. A perfect day out with smiles, stories, and sunshine at the end!

Bourne View recently enjoyed a special day celebrating our local firefighters and the history of the home itself.

Members of the DWFireRescue Redhill Fire Crew joined residents for a relaxed afternoon tea, complete with homemade cakes from our chefs 🍰🫖, before heading outside to explore a modern fire engine and chat about how firefighting has changed over the years.

The visit carried an extra local connection, as residents discovered that a former fire station headquarters once stood on the site of Bourne View 🚒. With support from the Talbot Village Trust, residents enjoyed exploring photographs and memories from the area’s past, adding a meaningful layer to the day.

The charity offers men a place to share skills and crafts and to work on projects at their own pace in a friendly and inclusive venue 💛

We’re looking forward to a year of fun, fundraising, and supporting a cause that’s close to our hearts.

Our residents got competitive — and had fun — with Giant Scrabble 🅰️🅱️

Paired in teams, everyone worked together to form words across the oversized board. Wendy and Irene impressed with their teamwork, while the room was filled with laughs, chatting, and cheering.

A fun, social, and brain-teasing afternoon enjoyed by all!

We were proud to recently present a cheque to Bourne Community Hub, our 2025 Charity of the Year, following a year of fundraising at Bourne View.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of our residents, the support of families and friends, and the dedication of our team, we raised an incredible amount... and had a lot of fun along the way!

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising activities and helped make this possible.

A lovely creative afternoon at Bourne View 🎨💛

Residents spent time painting pebbles with flowers, trees, summer scenes — and even the names of loved ones. The activity sparked smiles, laughter, and shared memories of summers past.

Janet wasn’t sure she was artistic at first, but with a little encouragement she created a beautiful piece and was so proud!

Residents, families, and friends recently enjoyed a festive gingerbread house–decorating session 🍬

Everyone added their own touches with paints, glitter, and decorations. After a few laughs during assembly, the gingerbread house was completed and proudly displayed for the Christmas celebrations.

Students from St Joseph’s School recently joined us for a lively hour of music, movement, and a Christmas quiz. Residents and children tapped, shook, and played along with the instruments the students brought, filling the room with laughter and energy.

The visit finished with a festive quiz, prompting stories and memories from residents’ own school days. Everyone enjoyed the time together, and we can’t wait to see the students again!
