Thank you to the Help & Care team for inviting us to a hotel in Southampton where we celebrated the success of the ‘Trans Aware Cancer Care Project’ with the other attendees.

This project was a community research project focusing on trans+ people who experience inequity and inaccessibility in cancer services.

On Friday 1 May, Trudi and Dawn will walk a staggering 180 miles across Dorset! They will start at the DBSU in Poole Hospital, walk through Dorset visiting mobile breast screening units and cross the finish line in Christchurch a week later. 🥾🗺️

It's a massive mission, but these ladies are raring to go the distance to raise funds to support DBSU patients and their loved ones! 💪 You can cheer them on and show them some love by supporting their fundraiser. We're so proud of them and can't wait to see them start their fab journey. 😀

🌺 Thank you to Dorset Indian Association for the opportunity to host a health promotion stand and give a presentation at their “Cancer Awareness event” held at Bournemouth University today.

The attendees learnt about cancers of The Blood, Oral cavity, Throat, Stomach, Oesophagus and Breast, in particular the signs and symptoms to look out for and what to do if you have any concerns.
An excellent and highly informative event that DBSU were proud to support. 🌺
