Do you really know what your practitioner is injecting into your face? 💉

This is such an important question — and one that too many people overlook when choosing where to have their aesthetic treatments.

At this year’s CCR (Clinical, Cosmetic & Regenerative) Exhibition in London, the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) confiscated a shocking number of unlicensed and illegal aesthetic products — all in just one day.

Among them were unlicensed Korean botulinum toxins, dermal filler boxes designed to look like sweets, and extremely high-strength numbing creams that could cause serious harm. These are not medical-grade, regulated products — and yet they’re alarmingly easy to buy online or from unverified suppliers.

This is exactly why it’s so important to understand what’s being injected into your skin. If your treatment seems too cheap to be true, it probably is. Low prices often mean corners are being cut — either with unlicensed products, unsafe techniques, or practitioners who aren’t properly trained or insured.

Even if you visit a reputable clinic, it’s completely okay — and actually wise — to ask:
