September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness month.

We try and encourage people to recognise the signs and symptoms. Awareness campaigns aim to increase knowledge about thyroid cancer, its causes and its treatment to improve early detection and patient outcomes.

Cancer research UK gathers data and estimates that 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Knowing about breast health and having routine mammograms can help to detect cancer early and increase your chance of recovery. Join me and the team from the Dorset Breast Screening Unit for a fun and informative macrame b**b and breast health awareness event on 3rd October from 10am till 12midday at the Gather space in the Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole. Thank you to everyone involved in making our community Health & Wellbeing Event in Canford Heath on Saturday a success.

It was great to see so many people from across our Poole North practices able to come along to meet with different health care providers and see our team of GPs and Pharmacists for advice and blood pressure checks.
