With over 50 years of experience supporting adults and young people with mental health and substance misuse issues, EDAS aims to strengthen the community through quality, person-centred care. We seek to make counselling affordable, flexible, and accessible to those who need it. We offer affordable private counselling sessions, available face-to-face and online. We also offer some reduced-cost opti

ons for those who struggle to pay. We provide personal and confidential support for addiction, stress & anxiety, depression, family & relationship issues, trauma & grief, nutrition & personal training. Our training centre offers advanced development and professional training around addiction, mental health, and counselling. Our courses are nationally accredited and delivered by facilitators with a background of working within drug treatment and counselling, and years of first-hand experience.

Are you caring for someone who is struggling with mental health or substance use?

Whether they are a young person or an adult, you're not alone.

We’re seeing a worrying rise in ketamine use and other drugs/alcohol across Dorset – especially among young people. This group offers a safe, supportive space for parents and carers who may be concerned, confused, or overwhelmed.

This group is here for you if you are:

βœ”οΈ Supporting someone who uses substances like ketamine or other drugs or alcohol
βœ”οΈ Worried about your child or loved one’s mental health or behaviour
βœ”οΈ Feeling isolated or unsure where to turn

β˜• It's a Coffee Connection!

Our Coffee Connection group has been making a meaningful impact in our community for over 3 years now! Providing a welcoming space for adults to connect and support each other.

In partnership with the Poole Community Mental Health Team. The group is held fortnightly on Thursday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at The Studio, Branksome Centre, Poole. These sessions offer a safe environment to combat social isolation and promote mental well-being.

Led by qualified EDAS therapists and peer support workers, participants engage in discussions, self-care activities and games, fostering a sense of community and empowerment.​

If you're interested in joining the group, speak to your Community Mental Health Team worker and ask them to make a referral!

After a busy couple of months, we are pleased to announce we have moved into a lovely new office space!

EDAS will now be operating out of The Studio at Branksome Community Centre.

This private and multi-purpose space will now be our new home for conducting counselling, training and some of our group sessions.

We're revitalising our popular Carer support events this July and would love for you to join us.

Our free Carer Support Evenings allows you to meet with other carers who are supporting adults who are affected by a loved ones mental health or addiction to share concerns, support each other and chat over a warm cuppa and a sandwich.

Each evening is led by qualified counsellors who will facilitate group discussion following a brief themed psychoeducation session. Themes will be based on:
