Early screening saves lives 🤍

Cervical screening is one of the most important things a woman can do to look after her health. Around 10 women a day receive a diagnosis of cervical cancer every day in the UK.

At Haven Medical, our smear tests also check for HPV so you can be closely monitored if needed.

November is National Diabetes Month

This month we want to help raise awareness for Type 2 diabetes. A condition that is often linked to lifestyle factors such as poor diet, inactivity, and obesity.

It’s estimated that over 1 million people in the UK may be living with undiagnosed diabetes, putting them at greater risk of heart disease, stroke, and vision loss.

A simple annual blood test can help detect diabetes early and support positive lifestyle changes for better long-term health. 💙

Recognising signs of autism in children 🌈

Jordan Draper from Haven Medical shares that autism is more common than many think, and early understanding can make a big difference.

Some signs to look for in children under 10 may include:

💙 Difficulty with eye contact or social interaction

💙 Repetitive movements or routines

💙 Delayed speech or communication

💙 Strong interests or sensitivities to sounds, lights, or textures

Every child is unique, these signs don't always mean autism, but if you have concerns, our team is here to advise if an assessment is right for your child. Autism assessments are available for children, young people and adults, often within a week or two.
