You might have seen headlines saying “now is the time” to invest in care.

We think the conversation is a little more thoughtful than that.

With an ageing population and more people choosing care at home, demand for quality domiciliary care continues to grow. But building a successful care business is about alignment, values and long term commitment.

At GoodOaks Homecare, we focus on specialist elderly care and supporting Franchise Partners to build sustainable businesses in their local communities.

Have a read here:

Here we take a considered look at the long term opportunity in domiciliary care franchising, and why alignment, quality and specialist elderly homecare matter more than timing.

🌳 On Thursday we hosted our Insight event in London and it was such a lovely evening.

We spent time meeting people who are exploring franchise ownership, chatting over drinks, and hearing honest, real-life insights from our Franchise Partner panel.

The panel discussion sparked some great questions and open conversations about what it’s really like to build a care business, the highs, the challenges, and everything in between.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our Franchise Partners for sharing their experiences so openly.

The next one will be later this year and we'd love to welcome more people who are curious about what running a GoodOaks Homecare franchise is really like.🏠💚

The personal growth that comes with owning a homecare franchise

Owning a homecare franchise is about more than running a business.

It is about growing into leadership, building resilience, and reconnecting with purpose.

In this blog, we explore the personal growth many GoodOaks Franchise Partners experience along the way.

When people consider buying a franchise, they often focus on the commercial benefits - a proven business model, brand recognition, and operational support. But one of the most powerful, and often overlooked, aspects of franchise ownership is the personal growth that comes with it.

🥂 What a 24 hours!

Yesterday was one for the books....

By day, we were named WorkBuzzWorkBuzz Best Franchise – Management, and by night, we picked up the Franchisor of the Year – Expanding award at British Franchise Association Awards. Not a bad shift!

These awards mean a huge amount to us and are a real reflection of the passion, commitment and care shown by everyone across the GoodOaks network.

And of course, a big thank you to the BFA team for an unforgettable conference and evening celebrating everything that’s great about franchising. We’re still smiling (and maybe still carrying our trophies around the office… 🏆 )

The Care Sector is evolving.

Never before has the care sector been as large, complex or ready for change.

Home care in particular has shifted in important ways in the last 10 years.

The effect that underlying and ongoing factors such as demographic changes, more people living longer with comorbidities, and higher employment rates are having on the care sector has been exacerbated by the political environment.

Reductions in Local Authority budgets, increases in the Living Wage and Workplace Pension mean that traditional corporate care providers contracting with local councils are struggling to make ends meet.
