Treatments like this are absolutely tolerable, but they’re not always pain‑free — especially when we’re working across the full back.

That’s why time, patience, and a calm, steady approach matter so much.

We’re now a few weeks post‑treatment and the improvement speaks for itself. The skin is settling beautifully, inflammation has reduced, and the overall texture is already looking so much clearer.

I've been busy with skin tag removals over the last week but let's talk about the healing process...

These photos show the skin before and immediately after short wave diathermy treatment.

Straight after treatment, it’s completely normal to see a little redness, a small dry crust, or a slightly pink area. This is simply the skin beginning its natural healing response as the treated tissue safely breaks down and the body starts repairing the area.

Over the next several days, the tiny crust will usually dry and shed naturally, while the skin underneath continues to renew and gradually blend back to your normal tone.

Using a very fine needle Short wave diathermy is a very precise treatment that targets the blemish without damaging the surrounding skin — allowing for controlled treatment and healthy healing.

Results improve as the skin settles, so patience really is key.
