As you would expect from a business with over 100 years of service and

experience, we have a range of in-house and partnered services that includes anything and everything to do with the arranging and managing of a funeral, as well as a new service, Bereavement Care. While bereavement care offers no miracle cure, there are ways to help move forward and in itself, understanding your own bereavement helps. We offer:

- advice
- practical assistance
- forums via local get-togethers
- web based resources
- a social environment for like minded people that can be tapped into at anytime now or in the future. We also operate 'Harbour View' in Poole which is no ordinary burial ground or funeral facility. It occupies a position that enjoys a host of wildlife and nature along with dramatic views of the lagoon areas of Poole Harbour, the Purbeck Hills and Corfe Castle. We have installed the very latest equipment at all of our offices, and our interviewing lounges provide an atmosphere of comfort and tranquillity. The staff represent the very best in their individual fields. We strive to offer a service which is personal, helpful, efficient and unobtrusive.

✨ What a Night! ✨

On 16th April we held a special Charity Quiz Night in support of Forest Holme Hospice, as part of our fundraising ahead of the Dragon Boat Race on 6th June.

It was a brilliant evening full of laughter, competitive spirit, and an absolutely fantastic raffle.

We’re incredibly proud to share that the night raised an incredible £2,100.00!!!!

💛 We’d also like to shine a spotlight on the wonderful local businesses who donated raffle prizes. Your kindness helped make the raffle such a success, and we’re grateful for your support.

With the Dragon Boat Race just around the corner, we’re feeling motivated, energised, and ready to paddle our hearts out for an amazing cause. 🚣‍♀️💛

A simple, thoughtful approach to saying goodbye.

Direct cremation offers a quiet, dignified option without a formal service, giving families the time and space to remember in their own way, when the moment feels right.

For some, it brings clarity. For others, flexibility.

What matters most is choosing what feels right for you and your family.

🌿 If you’d like to understand more about direct cremation and whether it may be the right choice, our team is here to help guide you.

Call 01202 630111 or email us at info@harbourview.co.uk when you are ready.

🌸 Supporting One of Our Own – Josh’s Pretty Muddy 5K for Cancer Research UK 🌸

At Tapper Funeral Service, we’re incredibly proud of our colleague and Funeral Service Operative, Josh Painter, who is taking on a 5K Pretty Muddy Race for Life to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK on Saturday 30th May 2026.

This challenge is deeply personal for Josh. Someone very close to him – his friend’s mum, Lisa, lovingly known to him as his “second mother” – is currently facing Stage 4 cancer.
Her diagnosis came as a devastating shock to her family and to Josh, who is standing firmly by her side with love, strength and unwavering support.

Josh shared with us:
“I will love and support you to the very end while you deal with this horrible illness, and we will do everything we can to support you.”

To honour Lisa and to help fuel the fight against cancer, Josh will be joining her family in the mud, the sweat, and the determination to make a difference. Every step he takes is for Lisa, and for the countless others affected by this disease.

Cancer touches so many lives — 1 in 2 people will receive a diagnosis in their lifetime. Every pound raised helps fund groundbreaking research and brings hope to families everywhere.

If you’re able to support Josh’s fundraising, you can do so here:

Let’s cheer him on, share his story, and help him raise as much as possible.
We’re with you all the way, Josh. 💗🌿

For many families, Harbour View becomes somewhere they return to long after the day of the funeral.

Some come back for remembrance services or community events. Others simply visit for a walk through the grounds, finding comfort in the landscape and the familiar surroundings.

The intention has always been to create a place that supports people not just in one moment, but across time.

A space where reflection feels natural, and where memories can be revisited whenever they’re needed.
