The wellness world is really bloody noisy, isn’t it?

And when it comes to peri-menopause, that noise gets even louder and often unbearable.

There’s no shortage of advice, supplements, programs, and ‘solutions’ out there.

Some of it’s brilliant.

Some of it… rubbish.

📣 Midlife = Major Reconstruction.
Wiring, plumbing, decoration — the whole bloody lot!

Everything’s being taken down and rebuilt, cell by cell. Your brain is literally being rewired, your hormones are shifting, and your body is doing a full internal renovation (without even asking your permission).

Sounds terrifying? Maybe. But here’s the good bit: you get to be project manager.
You get to oversee the whole thing and make decisions which will influence what this next version of you becomes!

Look, like any rebuild, it might take time.

It might be messy.

You’ll probably change your mind, hit some snags, and wonder if you’ve accidentally demolished something important.

But in the end? It’s yours.
And that makes it worth it.

My job?
To help you stop feeling like a confused bystander and start showing up as the badass woman in charge. With a cuppa in one hand and a sense of curiosity and humour in the other.

🌿 A gentle reminder for midlife women feeling bombarded with “menopause rules”…

I am personally so tired of seeing adverts that scream things like:

❌ “NEVER eat this in menopause!”
✅ “You MUST eat this every day!”
❌ “Don’t exercise like this!”
✅ “This is THE menopause secret!”

… blah blah blah.

Most of it's just clickbait, and it’s exhausting.

Here’s the truth:
There is no one-size-fits-all. No magic bullet, and no single secret.
Your perimenopause experience will be as unique, layered, and nuanced as you are — and that’s exactly how it should be.

We’ve been conditioned to believe there’s always a fix — a list, a plan, a product to “save” us — when really, all these rigid rules do is disconnect us from our own body and make us feel like we’re doing it wrong. Again.

You’re not doing it wrong because there is no 'right' answer.
You’re human and your hormones are shifting, moving you into another wonderful phase of life. Going through a huge transition that deserves care and compassion to work through, not control, rigid rules, and 'quick fixes'.

You don’t need to be “fixed.”
You need to be heard.
Supported. Respected. Nourished.

🧡 So let’s stop buying into “magic” fixes and start buying into you.

You are wise.
You are capable.
You are allowed to trust yourself again.

🌿 Why Don’t Women in Rural Japan Suffer Menopause Like We Do?

They don't even seem to have a word for menopause.

Western science often tries to pinpoint maybe one element of say diet —like soy intake—as the reason women in places like rural Japan seem to breeze through menopause.

But I believe the true reason runs deeper.

These women live in tune with nature and their bodies. They move slower but with true intention and purpose, rest more, eat with intention, and honor life's natural rhythms.

Meanwhile, many of us in the West are constantly rushing, disconnected from ourselves, glued to screens, overwhelmed by stress—and bombarded with external advice that only adds to the noise.

The more we search "out there" for solutions, the more we drown out the wisdom within.

Maybe it’s time to come home to ourselves. 🌙

Ladies - our skin can really suffer when our hormones start fluctuating downwards.

It becomes more dry, loses elasticity and can become saggy, can lose its glow and become dull, can be more sensitive even if you're using products you've always used.

This can have a negative effect on our overall well-being, as we may not feel as confident in showing our face to the world.

So, what can we do? Anything? Or do we just have to sit back and let it happen?

Absolutely not! There's lots we can do!!

Keep really well hydrated - helps to flush toxins and keep skin looking plump

Exercise - helps get the blood flowing bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin

Eat lots of fruits, Veggies, healthy fats, and protein - providing essential nutrients to keep skin healthy

Use natural skin care products with as few additives as possible - gives skin what it needs without just trying to mask issues

Reduce ultra processed foods - these will rob your skin of nutrients

Reduce alcohol intake - regular drinking can leave skin looking sallow

Reduce caffeine intake - it can be very dehydrating for the skin

Get outside in the fresh air and let your skin breathe!

Sooo much we can do to help ourselves, and the best thing is that those things benefit our whole body and mind not just our skin 🥰🥰

Time for some honest conversation about menopause and how it can affect us.

I was shocked by how badly it affected me! I felt like I had been hit by a train and felt like I was literally going mad. The video below goes into more detail - give it a listen and see if any of it rings any bells with you.
