Last weekend, our nurse Helen laced up her trainers and smashed the Great North Run – raising over £500 to support Forest Holme Hospice! 💛

Helen always goes the extra mile for our patients and families and clearly did the same in South Shields where she covered a half marathon distance of 13.1 miles! 🏅💪

Congratulations and thank you Helen, we’re all really proud of you! 👏❤

The Seafood & Sounds Festival 2025 kicks-off tomorrow for a fantastic weekend of delicious seafood and fantastic music in the beautiful locations of Old Town Poole and The Quay. 🦞🎶

Forest Holme Hospice is this year's chosen charity and we'll have stalls in both Scaplen's Court and on Poole Quay, plus staff and volunteers bucket collecting throughout the weekend. 👍

Don't forget you can join in the fun at 11am tomorrow, as the colourful sea-themed parade will be departing from outside the Slug & Lettuce (Poole’s Old Town). ⚓🐙

Join us this Saturday (September 13th) at the Lighthouse, Poole, for our award-winning Bereavement Café – a welcoming space open to anyone coping with grief. You don’t need any prior connection to Forest Holme to attend.

Take a moment to pause, share a coffee and cake, and connect with others who truly understand the journey of loss.

🕙 When: 10:00 – 11:30am, every 2nd & 4th Saturday
💷 Cost: Free – including coffee and cake, on us!

There's an absolutely rockin' event taking place this weekend as Ripper Fest takes to the stage at Bear's Bar & Venue for a one-day music festival on Saturday 13th September organised by local band The Lonely Surf in support of Forest Holme.🤘

The festival will feature two stages of fantastic live music from bands including Youth Sector, The Lonely Surf, Tenderstem, Still Life, Modern Shakes, Elm Tree Circle, Mel Rose, Jack Grace and many more. 🎸

Tickets are just £15 in advance and can be purchased from the www.wegottickets.com/event/662797/ website. Doors open at 12pm with live music starting at 12.30pm. This is an 18+ event.

The wonderful Jenny Waller once again hosted her annual coffee morning in memory of her husband, Hugh, raising an incredible £630! ❤

Jenny’s grandsons looked very dapper, all suited and booted as they served teas and coffees, and guests were treated to a delicious array of cakes.☕🍰

Thanks to Jenny’s amazing dedication, along with the support of her friends and family, she has now raised an outstanding £4,195.85 for Forest Holme Hospice through her coffee mornings. 👏

We are so grateful for your continued support, Jenny, what a truly special way to remember Hugh.💕

It's finally arrived - the Seafood & Sounds Festival 2025 is taking place this weekend and is supporting Forest Holme Hospice. ❤

This promises to be an amazing weekend, bringing together Poole’s heritage of seafood with fantastic music in the charming locations of Old Town Poole and The Quay. 🦞🎶

Come and find our stalls in Scaplen's Court and on Poole Quay and our staff and volunteers will be bucket collecting throughout, plus join us for the colourful sea-themed parade at 11am on Saturday 13th September departing from the Slug & Lettuce (Poole’s Old Town).

We are beyond excited to launch the beautiful song and video for Tim's Singers reimagined version of Coldplay's 'All My Love' entitled 'All Our Love' to raise funds for Forest Holme. ❤

Led by choir founder and vocal coach Tim Dowland, the choir features 102 members from the Citrus Singers, The Sing and Grin Choir, and Balance Choir, which also includes Forest Holme volunteers and staff.

This Thursday - Living With Loss Workshop

Open to anyone needing bereavement support, this drop-in session includes a 45-minute talk from a qualified therapist on grief and available support. Tea, coffee, and biscuits provided.

The next session takes place on Thursday 11th September between 10am till 12pm at SML Poole (opposite St Mary's Church next to Poole Hospital), Longfleet Road, Poole BH15 2LP. No booking required — just drop in. We look forward to welcoming you!

🚗 Please note: On-site parking at the venue is limited but there is FREE 2 hour limited parking on the surrounding streets. Alternatively, parking is available in the multi storey car park at Poole Hospital (on Longfleet Road) – charges apply
