Next up in the team introductions is the incredible MAZ BURY - SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST AND REHAB STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH ⭐️
We’ve been lucky to have Maz as part of our Ashley Cross team for the last 2.5 years as a sports massage therapist and now she is going to join our West Hants team as a Rehab Strength and Conditioning coach ⭐️
This is going to be an amazing addition to the services we currently offer. All of our patients can have a months free access to the West Hants gym and Maz, as a highly experienced strength and conditioning coach will be able to help guide you safely and correctly through your recovery programme ⭐️
Maz has been working in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Her journey started off in 1997 with a Sport Science degree in Exeter, after which she went onto study a post-graduate in Sport Rehabilitation in Twickenham. Following this, she worked in London doing a mixture of personal training, sport rehab therapy, massage and pitch-side response in rugby.
In 2004, Maz moved from London to Poole where she started her interest into S&C. In 2009, she gained her UKSCA (UK Strength & Conditioning Association) accreditation. Due to her wide background in S&C and sport rehabilitation, Maz’s sports massage sessions may involve different strategies to achieve your desired outcome, such as conventional massage, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, stretching and exercise advice.
Maz was also the lead Strength & Conditioning (S&C) coach for one of the LTA’s top national youth tennis performance programmes. This role included designing athletes’ gym programmes, analysing fitness test results and performing physical screenings to look at optimal biomechanics.
