This was a fully improvised scenario in class, and she handled it exactly how we train.
She tried talking him down, used her voice first, set clear boundaries, and created space. When that didn’t work and the threat continued, she acted decisively. As soon as he was no longer a threat, she disengaged and moved to away to an exit, then stayed switched on and aware when he tried to get back up.
That’s what real self protection looks like.
Not just physical skills, but awareness, decision-making, and control.
She absolutely nailed it 👏
