After an interesting couple of weeks on social media, gaining valuable initial feedback, we thought it would be best to create a short blog to explain exactly what we are looking to achieve.
My name is Faye Roberts, and I’m part of the team leading the build of Preventa Scan.
I’m one of several people in a small team with a passion for business, health, and longevity. We would all personally love the ability to have full-body MRI scans on a regular basis but struggle to justify—and afford—the high prices currently being offered.
Recently, several close friends have faced devastating cancer journeys due to late diagnoses. Seeing firsthand the impact of delayed detection has reinforced our belief that early screening can be life-changing.
So, we’ve decided to take matters into our own hands and find like-minded individuals in Bournemouth and Poole.
We’re aware that an MRI scanner dedicated solely to full-body scans can perform close to 2,485 scans per year. With this in mind, we are building a waiting list of people interested in this service.
With enough local support, we would look to either partner with an existing company that already has systems in place or collaborate with consultants and industry experts to build Preventa Scan ourselves.
