Ah; Individual work is “ . So difficult to explain and or understand and recommend to others!
After 35 years full-time; this is how a Client ( s) might feel from their perspective.
Ther is some different about these hands. They don’t push or pull me towards some predetermined goal. Instead, they seem to listen; not just to my body, but to something deeper, some conversation I’m having with myself that I wasn’t even aware of.
When those hands make contact, I feel met where I actually am, not where I think I should be or where someone else thinks I should be. There is no hurry, no agenda I can detect. Just this quality of attention that somehow gives me permission to be exactly as confused, as tight, as uncoordinated as I actually am at this moment.
And then something curious happens. Without being told what to do , without effort or strain. I begin to sense possibilities I couldn’t sense before. My shoulder discovers it can move in a way it had forgotten. My breath finds a rhythm that feels more like home. It is as if these hands are showing my nervous system options it had lost track of, reminding my body of capacities that were always there but had gone underground.
I don’t feel manipulated or fixed. Instead , I feel guided back to myself- to a version of myself that is more integrated, more available, more at ease. The learning doesn’t come from outside; it emerges from within, as if I am remembering something essential I had temporarily forgotten. These hands simply create the conditions where that remembering becomes possible.
True expertise and experience is hard to find!
