Deadlift day for

She tweaked her lower back at the weekend so we switched to the trap bar to hit her legs more and shift the load,this resulted in yet another PB of 122kg on top of her 107.5kg deadlift PB last week💪💪

Then some T Bar rows and lat pulldowns to finish off and check that back !😲

This runner used to be super nervous about going into a gym to do weights so used to leave it and do 20mins on a treadmill and go home

Now she is building some quality muscle & strength !💪

Not to mention the huge shift in confidence that has increased 10 fold as a result of getting stronger🙌

Remember "Train don't exercise"
you'll enjoy the changes far more👊💪

2 different techniques of cupping therapy for Lee today.

Gliding/Sliding...used today instead of the usual elbows and thumbs,gliding uses the suction to create a deep pulling effect freeing up tightness and tension and altho it looks painful it's actually very relaxing and the redness is just where blood is pulled to the surface

Static...most common use of cupping creating a vacuum effect in the cup and releasing tension in the immediate area

If you're tight for time on leg day try this,took me about 45 mins with minimal rest times and my legs were toast...

Leg ext superset with sissy squats...12 then 8 - 10...this gives you max contraction on the ext then max stretch for the second part if you push your hips forwards too...4 sets

Leg press...4 x 20 reps

Seated leg curls superset with longer stride & slight lean forwards for glute/ham...12 reps then lunges...4 sets..

Give it a try,1st exercise fries them making the rest harder

Last year i helped during his prep to bring out some extra condition for his last shows..

Sports massages really help with muscle separation which for shows is obvs really important but also in general training it helps the muscles work more efficiently providing better contractions,pumps and blood flow,then there's the benefit of less aches n pains & niggles for life in general...

Win win right ?!

Then there's the lighter massages which help reduce fluid,this is great for not only shows as you can see in the pics☝️ but also in general life especially if you have a more sedentary lifestyle...

Training legs with tooday and we said we're not lifting heavy today so we lifted heavy today...270kg Hammer Strength leg press (heaviest leg press in the world) and 222kg trap bar deadlift..2 x PB's today...mindset is everything💪

Successful progressive overload dumbbell pressing over the last couple of months..

I said to myself i was going to press 50's by xmas but as they got easier i said 55's for 4 which i did last week..

This week i said 6 which i just about got..

Training is not only physical strength but mental strength..

Talk yourself into a lift not out of it and you'll be glad you did..

Training with a great coach also helps💪

So following on from my recent story i've decided to do a 58k walk along our beautiful Jurassic Coast in support of 2 of my friends who suffer with MS...i've spent 30 odd yrs weight training so this is very different for me but if my friends can live with MS then i can definately do a day's walk and hopefully raise some money along the way for this great cause...

This is what happens when you correctly free up muscle tension in the delt and bicep,notice the difference between left and right,the fibres relax and allow better blood flow almost creating a "pump" feeling,these treatments will allow better muscle connections/contractions when training therefore better growth,now who doesn't want that ?!💪

 came in today with a very painful front right shoulder,which has left him unable to train for nearly 4 weeks...pec and ...

came in today with a very painful front right shoulder,which has left him unable to train for nearly 4 weeks...pec and bicep was tight which pulled the shoulder down and across creating tension throught the rotator cuff muscles and rhomboids,then the serratus was countering by pulling the scapula down and out which pulled the infraspinatus muscle which caused the pain...easy eh 🤷‍♂️🤣 see the before and after for the shape differences..

Left trap joined the fun too trying to correct it all...
After the treatment he was more even and 90% pain free...

Moral of the story....don't leave the niggles as they'll get worse and you'll blame me for hurting you🤣🤣

No more "tight neck"

Overall aesthetics much better

I help people daily (except sundays) to improve their wellbeing,you can't get better than that !
