When wee made the decision to open a HIS-regulated clinic, I knew it would be daunting—but nothing truly prepares you for the reality unless you’ve been through it yourself.
The process with Healthcare Improvement Scotland is not an easy one, and at times it felt overwhelming.
As many of you know, Im returning to university this year to continue growing my depth of knowledge and understanding balancing this alongside a new job and building the clinic brought its own challenges.
When we first started, the clinic was just a shell. It was difficult to fully comprehend the obstacles that would arise and the standards that had to be met. All of this happened while also setting up a new location so I could continue practising in another clinic. It tested me in ways I didn’t expect—but it also reminded me why I started.
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of my clients, both new and longstanding. Your trust, patience, encouragement and support have meant more to me than words can say. You are the reason I keep striving to improve, to learn, and to provide the very best care possible. I’m incredibly grateful to be on this journey
