But motivation is unreliable.

Some days you have it.

If you want to lose weight, you need a plan.

Not a wish.
Not “I’ll start Monday.”
Not “I’ll try and be better this week.”

A plan.

In the video I break it down into 4 simple steps that most people skip.

1️⃣ Set a target.
How much weight do you actually want to lose?
A stone? Two stone? More?

If you don’t define it, it stays a vague idea in your head instead of something you’re working towards.

2️⃣ Set a realistic time frame.
This matters because it decides how strict you need to be.

Lose a stone in 3 months?
You can be fairly relaxed.

Lose a stone in 4 weeks?
You’ll need to be far more disciplined.

The timeline gives the target structure.

3️⃣ Track your calories.
This is the bit people try to avoid.

But the truth is simple…

If you’re not aware of how much you’re eating, you’re guessing.
And guessing rarely leads to weight loss.

You don’t have to track forever, but you need to learn what your intake looks like.

4️⃣ Decide how you’ll burn extra calories.

Gym sessions.
Running.
Circuits.
Walking more.

Whatever works for you.

But it needs to be planned, not random.

Because weight loss doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens when there’s structure.

Give me 60 seconds and this might stop you ruining your diet tomorrow.

Most people don’t fail with weight loss because they don’t know what to eat.

They fail because they’re not prepared when hunger hits.

You start the day well.
Breakfast is good.
Lunch is good.
You’re feeling positive.

Then life happens.

You get busy.
You get hungry.
You’ve got nothing ready.

So you grab whatever is there.

A sandwich.
A chocolate bar.
A takeaway on the way home.

And suddenly the day that was going well… isn’t.

The truth is food prep doesn’t need to be complicated.

You don’t need to cook 10 meals on a Sunday.

Just do something simple.

👉 When you cook dinner… make an extra portion.

That’s tomorrow’s lunch sorted.

One extra portion each night means you’re always one step ahead.

Simple.
Prepared.
On track.

Because when you’re hungry, you won’t make the right decision…
you’ll make the easy one.

Preparation removes that problem.

This is exactly the type of simple structure we build with the people training here.

Think about it, Sh*ts getting real.

Let me ask you something.

If you had to run up the stairs right now…

Could you?

Not jog slowly.
Not hold the banister.
Not get to the top blowing out your backside.

I mean properly move.

Because here’s the reality…

We live in a world now where anything can happen at any time.

Health scares.
Stress.
Emergencies.
Life changing in a second.

And yet most people can’t:
• Run up stairs
• Get off the floor easily
• Carry their own bodyweight confidently
• Play with their kids without getting tired

That’s not about six-packs.

That’s about capability.

Fitness isn’t vanity.

It’s insurance.

Insurance that your body can cope.
Insurance that your heart is strong.
Insurance that you’re not fragile.

Especially over 40.

Because after 40 you don’t “stay the same.”

You either:
Train and maintain strength…

Or slowly lose it.

There is no neutral.

You don’t need to be elite.
You don’t need to be obsessed.

But you do need to be capable.

If you’re honest with yourself…

Are you fit?
Or just getting by?

But here’s the thing…

Most people are waiting to feel motivated before they act.

That’s why they:
• Don’t train
• Don’t track
• Don’t start
• Don’t change

Because they’re waiting for a feeling.

Motivation is unreliable.

Structure isn’t.

The people you see on this page losing:
– 1lb
– 2lb
– 5lb

They’re not motivated every day.

They just show up anyway.

And that’s the difference.

Motivation doesn’t last long. It’s discipline that makes s**t happen. That’s what separates those from having to not have having. It’s about doing things even when you don’t want too.

Most people don’t struggle Monday to Friday.

They’re “good.”
They train.
They eat clean.
They try hard.

Then the weekend comes.

A few drinks.
A takeaway.
Picking at the kids’ food.
“Ah it’s only one weekend…”

And Monday arrives.

Scale hasn’t moved.
Or worse — it’s gone up.

And you’re left frustrated thinking,
“What’s the point?”

Here’s the truth.

The weekend isn’t the problem.

Lack of structure is.

Especially after 40.

Because after 40:
• Recovery is slower
• Muscle mass drops easier
• Hormones shift
• Fat gain happens quicker

You don’t get away with what you used to.

But that doesn’t mean it’s harder.

Over 40? Life doesn’t have to be over. You don’t have to settle for feeling stiff, no confidence. Not liking what you see in the mirror. You can get after it like a 20 year old.
