Once everyone was dried off from the rain yesterday, our Dementia Cafรฉ brought the warmth! ๐‡๐จ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ค๐ฌ soon had everyone cosy, and the ๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ž๐ž๐ญ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ฌ disappeared in no time ๐Ÿ˜‹โ˜• Big shout out to Ronnie who attended for the first time today. Once the conversation turned to motorbikes Ronnie seemed to settle in.

We then welcomed ๐‚๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ from ๐€๐๐‚ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, who led a ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ข๐ซ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ ๐š ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง in our yoga suite ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธโœจ

A heartfelt thank you to Shelbourne Motors for their incredibly generous ยฃ๐Ÿ,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ donation, which will fund one of our much-loved ๐ฉ๐จ๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ. This support will make a real and lasting difference to the wellbeing of our participants.

Paul was joined by ๐‘๐ฒ๐š๐ง ๐Œ๐œ๐Š๐ž๐จ๐ฐ๐ง (Marketing) and ๐ƒ๐ข๐š๐ง๐š ๐†๐จ๐๐จ (Car & Van Rental), and we were so pleased to spend time with them and share the impact of our work.

Our pottery participants had the opportunity to speak with Paul and his team about the ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐›๐ž๐ง๐ž๐Ÿ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ of this 10-week therapeutic and enjoyable programme โ€” a powerful reminder of why this support matters so much.

At Portadown Wellness Centre, our food sourcing and distribution programme continues to make a meaningful difference in our community each week. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our trusted local suppliers, we are able to collect and distribute much-needed food to those who may be struggling at present.

Portadown Wellness Centre is a caring and compassionate organisation that provides support and empowerment to both men and women in Portadown and the surrounding regions who maybe recovering from mental illness, addiction, physical illness or are perhaps just a little lonely or isolated.

It does this in a holistic way by offering a variety of services that include practical activities, social events, listening spaces and talks and presentations on well-being.

Based at Tavanagh Industrial Estate, 130 Church Street this new initiative will begin on September 2nd.

Among the start up activities in the Centre will be classes in Woodwork, Arts and Crafts, Wood Carving, Furniture Restoration and Upholstery and Yoga.
