Thanks to the incredible generosity of ๐Š๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง and her ๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ณ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐ฆ at Davison's, we were able to distribute two full pallets of delicious desserts to our community on Friday! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฎ

After collecting these fabulous treats on Friday morning, we delivered them to Edgarstown Residents Association , Drumcree Centre , and ๐Š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž โ€” spreading smiles (and sweetness!) all around.

Elves were officially spotted yesterday โ€” and no, we didnโ€™t imagine them! ๐Ÿ˜‰

With a sprinkling of stubborn snow melting outside, the cafรฉ was a cosy haven of warmth, welcome, and non-stop tea pouring. Add in a hearty bowl of stew and youโ€™ve got the perfect recipe to thaw out even the coldest toes.

From Wham! to Bing Crosby, the ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ had a few of our guests humming, singing, and maybe even shimming (weโ€™ll never tell!). Todayโ€™s mission? Crafting Christmas tree decorations for our sponsored tree at Portadown Wellness Centreโ€™s ๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐„๐ฑ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฏ๐š๐ ๐š๐ง๐ณ๐š โ€” and wow, did our team deliver.

With a little ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐ข๐œ from the wonderfully talented Linda Hyde, everyone got stuck in. Before we knew it, the room transformed into a ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ-๐ฌ๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ โ€” ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž, helping, encouraging, and creating. What a wonderful afternoon we had today โ€” so many ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐š๐œ๐ž๐ฌ , including some ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ who joined us all the way from Armagh City and Bleary! ๐Ÿ’› Itโ€™s amazing to see our wee club growing and spreading the word.

A special welcome to Jordan, one of the garden centreโ€™s Thursday volunteers, whoโ€™s now officially part of our group! ๐ŸŽถ He brought his musical magic today and kept the tunes flowing as our DJ โ€” the craic and banter were top notch
As the tea was poured and sandwiches disappeared, talk turned to Christmas (of course!) and weโ€™ve made some exciting plans! ๐ŸŒŸ

Our ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ-๐ฐ๐ž๐ž๐ค ๐€๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž returns this November, guided by resident artist and teacher Dwyer โ€” whose classes are as relaxed as they are inspiring.

Portadown Wellness Centre is a caring and compassionate organisation that provides support and empowerment to both men and women in Portadown and the surrounding regions who maybe recovering from mental illness, addiction, physical illness or are perhaps just a little lonely or isolated.

It does this in a holistic way by offering a variety of services that include practical activities, social events, listening spaces and talks and presentations on well-being.

Based at Tavanagh Industrial Estate, 130 Church Street this new initiative will begin on September 2nd.

Among the start up activities in the Centre will be classes in Woodwork, Arts and Crafts, Wood Carving, Furniture Restoration and Upholstery and Yoga.
