Have a look at our recently refurbished Sperrins Dementia unit in Melmount Manor Care Home🤩

💚 The Sperrins Unit is an 11 bed unit which cares for residents living with enhanced Dementia.

💙 There are bright and airy communal areas for residents to enjoy and quiet rooms if they wish to relax.

💚 We also have a lovely external garden space where residents can have a walk or just sit and enjoy some fresh air

We were delighted to be invited to attend a Preparation for Employment event last Friday at Magee for Year 3 Nursing Students. 🎓

Kate from our agency, along with Mark and Matthew from Ardlough Care Home, enjoyed the opportunity to meet and speak with the future generation of nurses from both Adult and Mental Health nursing pathways. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Home Manager Mark delivered a talk to all attendees, sharing his experience and insights into working in the care sector.

It was a fantastic event and a great opportunity to connect with students as they prepare to begin their nursing careers and sharing the different opportunities available across Ann’s!🌟

🎉 100 Years Young! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Eileen, a wonderful service user from our Lurgan team, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday! 🥳🎂

Pictured with Eileen are her carers Aine and Anita, who were delighted to help celebrate such a special milestone. 💐

When we asked Eileen if she had any advice for the younger generation, she shared these wise words:

I feel quite blessed to that my child has had the support from Ann’s. The staff have done great work, and I will always be grateful for the help and care that my child and my family have received.

It is always a pleasure to visit. The children appear very happy and have a lovely relationship with the staff. Home is always warm and very child friendly. The children’s rooms are well decorated.

✨ We are celebrating Caroline as she begins her well-deserved retirement. ✨

During her time with us she made a wonderful impact on both residents and colleagues. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication to providing excellent care have been truly appreciated by everyone.

Caroline will be greatly missed by residents and staff alike, but we wish her all the happiness and relaxation that retirement brings.

A very special Happy Birthday to Clarence, who celebrated his big day in Dungannon Care Home! 🎂

Clarence enjoyed a fantastic Spider-Man themed party, complete with decorations, fun, and even a special guest appearance from Spider-Man himself! 💥

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and celebrations shared by residents and staff, making it a birthday to remember.

Care Manager Ciaran has said, since joining the team Hollie has been a great support in aiding him settle into his role in Maghera.

💙 Recently, when an emergency came in, Hollie went above and beyond on her evening off to make sure six service Users got their call. This truly shows the level of care and commitment she has to both her role and the people she supports.

💚 Hollie is always willing to help her colleagues and ensure our service users receive the care they need. Her dedication and positive attitude do not go unnoticed.

This week we were privileged to welcome Stuart Mulholland, who delivered a five-day Train the Trainer programme to our Welltree Champions. 👨‍🏫

💚 Stuart who travelled from Scotland to lead the training is the creator and director of the Welltree Model of Care — a trauma-informed approach that promotes belief in the capacity for change and recognises that young people deserve compassion, regardless of their behaviour.

💙 Welltree is Ann’s chosen model of care, and our teams implement this approach throughout their work to promote courage, perseverance, and hope in the young people in our care.
