Let’s talk migraines…
I’ve always been quite open about the fact that I’m a chronic migrainer. For me I’ve always suffered since I hit puberty, but when I hit perimenopause things took a drastic turn. They consumed my life, I was unable to continue with my nursing career and they totally absorbed me. After trialling tablet after tablet with different side effects, I decided to embark on a holistic approach. For me this included diet changes, job change, exercise adjustment, general lifestyle changes and REFLEXOLOGY!!! Now reflexology is not a miracle cure, however having reflexology on a regular basis alongside other lifestyle changes made a huge difference to the improvement of my migraines. I went from being unfunctionable to being able to lead a fairly ‘normal’ life. And of course reflexology is great for balancing hormones and supporting through menopause, so it’s a win win.
If you’re a sufferer it’s certainly worth giving reflexology a try.
And how often do you need to have reflexology?? The same as going to the gym, you can’t just go once and expect results. In the beginning it’s beneficial to have regular weekly/2 weekly sessions. Once things start to improve those sessions can then start to be spread out untill you’re having a maintenance session of approx once monthly or more.
