🇬🇧❤️ VE Day Celebrations ❤️🇬🇧

We have had such a beautiful day celebrating VE Day today! ☀️
Lots of singing, quizzing, gardening and enjoying the sunshine together 🌸🎶

Residents enjoyed some lovely one-to-one time, plenty of laughter, a delicious afternoon tea and wonderful company all around ☕🍰

A truly lovely day filled with smiles, memories and togetherness ❤️

What a lovely day we’ve had today! ☀️
Lots of activity, smiles and laughter throughout the home, finished off perfectly with a fantastic new yoga session with the lovely Jo 🧘‍♀️💜
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing stretches, calming atmosphere and gentle movement — a wonderful @ wonderful yoga what a way to unwind and support wellbeing.
We’re already looking forward to the next session! 😊

What a relaxing and joyful day today! 💙
The residents enjoyed quizzes, darts, sensory sessions, and plenty of laughter throughout the day. Everyone received lots of special one-to-one time, enjoyed spending time with Bumpy, and shared lovely moments reminiscing together. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and so much happiness all around. 🥰✨

☀️ What a lovely day we’ve had today!

With the sun shining, we made the most of it and spent time out in the garden 🌸
There were plenty of games, lots of chatting, and even more smiles all around 😊

Pat went out for lunch today, choosing to visit a local pub. Pat enjoyed fish and chips along with a bitter lemon. Pat appeared relaxed and content throughout the outing, engaging well and making their own choices about the meal. A positive experience was had, supporting independence and wellbeing. Pats response-what a beautiful meal iv had, can we do it again! 🥰❤️

This spring edition captures everything from Buckland in Bloom and Easter celebrations to special birthdays, animal visits, creative activities, community connections and industry awards.

Inside, you’ll find residents planting flowers, painting ducklings, meeting alpacas, celebrating World Book Day, taking part in fitness sessions, welcoming new managers and enjoying plenty of those small moments that make life in our homes feel so personal.

We’re also proud to share some wonderful recognition, including Buckland Care being named one of the UK’s Top 20 Mid-Size Care Home Groups for the third year running, The Firs being named one of the Top 20 Care Homes in the South West, and Willow Bank achieving Two Star Gold Dementia Accreditation.

A huge thank you to our residents, families, teams and local communities for helping make this edition so full of colour, connection and heart.

Celebrating St George’s Day in style here at Woodland Court!
