Cwrt Enfys have had the awesome juke box fixed thanks to Aaron so residents love dancing to music in their new play room.

The activities team have also introduced a new collaborative activity which is held every day in the dining areas right before lunch where they dance for 5 minutes to music requested by the residents which incorporates dance. This helps with their well-being and they enjoy their lunch more. It has helped to lift residents and our teams mood and residents insist on racing to the dining room to join in.

We love that the whole team joins in! Well done all. 💿🎶

Social Care Wales launched a Well Being Week last week for care staff which focused on mental health including ways of reducing stress and anxiety so we ensured our staff at Ty Nant were involved in this and offered all elements of health and well-being through a number of activities.

There was a range of fresh fruit, bottled water available as well as massages and simple yoga moves for staff and residents provided by Shawn and Geoff. We all embraced the gratitude wall and our Well Being officer, Lisa, was on hand to support our team.

We also held a day for all our auxiliary team and treated them to a lovely lunch and treats. 💜

Fitness and wellness at Mill View with James followed by talk and fortnightly service with The Salvation Army.

We also celebrated June's 80th and Beryl's 89th birthdays 🎂 so we all enjoyed a wonderful song and dance and helped to celebrate the birthday ladies in style.

The Hollies x-mas celebrations contunued with two magical visits from Coedpenmaen Primary School, Francesca for our X-mas eve party and Lauren for our new Year's eve party and of course our thanks to the local church group for singing and entertaining our residents.

Thank you to everyone who made Christmas a special occasion for our residents and staff expecially with music which makes a real difference in our residents' live. Happy New year from us all. 🎆

The Hollies send a warm thanks to the wonderful, kind and joyful Pontypridd Christian Youth group who came to perform beautiful Christmas songs for those residents who are unable to leave their rooms. They all loved every second of it and so did our team.

We also thank them for the wonderful gifts they brought our residents who don't have much family. they were so overwhelmed and grateful for such wondeful community members.

When asked why they did this, one of the youth singers Emma said she wanted to give back to the community and understands that not everyone has family so wanted to make sure they had an extra special gift to open on Christmas Day. Thank you to the Emma, Dan and the other generous representatives from the youth group.. ❤️

The Panto visited Cwrt Enfys to perform the Puss in Boots show. Residents loved the performances and brightened up their day.

They also had a special carol service allowing residents to sing classic carols and brought them joy.

Ty Nant had a lovely visit by singing sensation, STAR from MusiCare with a mix of christmas songs and singalongs helped by mum on the tambourines for the residents to raise the energy. A big thank you to the kitchen staff who prepared a superb High Tea. Beautiful! Merry Xmas from all of us.
