What a scorcher of a week across North Wales! ☀️ With the sun finally out in full force, we’ve made the most of every single moment across the homes.

There were ice creams all round and plenty of time spent in the gardens relaxing and taking in the sunshine.

There’s also been pampering, cooking club, bead threading, games, arts, & crafts, Rice Krispie cake making, you name it! 😄

With summer well and truly here, we’re hoping for more of this gorgeous weather over the next few months! 😍

Am wythnos anghygoel yng Ngogledd Cymru! ☀️ Gyda'r haul allan o'r diwedd yn ei holl ogoniant, rydyn ni wedi gwneud y gorau o bob eiliad ar draws ein cartrefi.

Roedd hufen iâ i bawb a digon o amser yn cael ei dreulio yn yr ardd yn ymlacio ac yn mwynhau'r Heulwen.

Roedd yna hefyd faldodi, clwb coginio, llinynnu gleiniau, gemau, celf a chrefft, gwneud cacennau Rice Krispie, beth bynnag fynnwch chi! 😄

Gyda'r haf wedi cyrraedd go iawn, rydyn ni'n gobeithio am fwy o'r tywydd hyfryd yma dros y misoedd nesaf! 😍

We’re taking part in the Dragon Boat Festival 2026! 🐉🚣‍♀️💙

On Saturday 20th June, Team Meddyg Care will be taking part in St David’s Hospice’s Dragon Boat Festival at Llyn Padarn, racing in 12-metre dragon boats across Llyn Padarn and raising money for an amazing local charity.

All fundraising will go to St David's Hospice who provide hospice care and support to people and their families across Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy. ❤️

To help support the fundraising, we’ll also have rowing machines in our homes and offices where anyone is welcome to come along, have a go and make a donation if they’d like!

📍 Rhyl – 11th June

The relationship between carer and resident becomes something really special.

It’s not just about the care being given, it’s the conversations, the trust that builds, and the comfort of seeing a familiar face each day.

Those connections grow naturally, and they mean so much to the people we support. Being known, understood, and genuinely cared for.

It’s something our teams take real pride in, and it’s a big part of what makes Meddyg Care what it is. 💙

Debbie shares how the support from our Help at Home team has made a real difference to her and her mum, Barbara.

With the right support in place, Debbie has been able to step back into her role as a daughter again, and spend more time simply being together.

There’s a reassurance in knowing her mum is in safe, capable hands. It means less worry, and more peace of mind day to day.

Over time, the team have become more than just carers. They’re a familiar presence, and a trusted part of the family.

Mae Debbie yn rhannu sut mae’r gefnogaeth gan ein tîm Help at Home wedi gwneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol iddi hi a’i mam, Barbara.

What did we get up to at Meddyg Care this week?

Something new we’ve recently introduced is our Knit & Natter club, organised by Gale, one of our activities coordinators, every Tuesday. 🧶✨

It’s a lovely chance for residents to spend time together, have a chat, and get involved with a bit of knitting!

We also celebrated Rhona’s 85th birthday, and as usual, we celebrated with cake. 🎂 Happy birthday, Rhona! 🎈

There’s been some pampering too, with fresh haircuts and some relaxation for residents across the homes. 💇‍♀️💅

Lots of chats, laughs and quality time together as always. ❤️

Laura, our Domiciliary Care Manager at Help at Home, shares a bit about what it’s like to be part of the team at Meddyg Care.

There’s a real sense of balance. While there are high expectations when it comes to the quality of care we provide, there’s also time to enjoy what we do and the people we work with.

From team outings to small celebrations together, those moments help build a supportive, positive environment where people feel valued.

At the end of the day, it’s about working together to provide the best possible care for the people we support. 💙

Here’s a little look at what’s been happening across our homes this week. ✨

We’ve had a lot going on lately, with more walks in the sunshine, arts & crafts, games, and quality time spent together. 💙

There’s also been some cupcake making and decorating this week… (and eating!) 🧁😄

Residents have been looking through old photos and reminiscing together, as well as enjoying more pamper sessions including nails, hair, and even feet! 💅💆‍♀️

Lots of laughs, chats and lovely little moments as always. 💫
