We’ve had a lot of birthdays this week:

▪️ Sharon turned 70. 🎁

Happy birthday to you all!

We also had Criccieth Family Church come in on Easter Sunday to sing to everyone which was lovely. 🎶

A few more walks and arts and crafts too while the residents enjoyed eating their Easter eggs. 🍫

Stan was part of the Meddyg Care Porthmadog family for two years, and during that time he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Our team have many fond memories of Stan – moments of laughter, conversations shared, and the time we were lucky enough to spend with him. It was a privilege to care for him and to be part of his journey.

We’d like to introduce Teddy, our new therapy dog at Meddyg Care Rhyl. 🐾

Teddy is a Maltese cross with Toy Poodle and will be turning 10 in October. He’s already been making himself at home, spending time with residents and bringing plenty of calm, comfort, and smiles along the way.

Therapy dogs can have such a positive impact, from reducing anxiety to encouraging conversation and connection, and Teddy is no exception.

We’re very happy to have him as part of the Meddyg Care family. 💙

Kenneth, a resident at Meddyg Care Rhyl, proudly holding the book he wrote, “While I Remember”.

After his dementia diagnosis, Kenneth began writing down his memories and reflections – capturing the moments and stories that matter most to him. It’s a powerful reminder of how important those memories are, and we feel privileged to support residents like Kenneth and celebrate the lives and experiences they share with us. 🤍

Plenty going on across the homes this week, with lots of moments enjoyed together. 💙

It was Barbara’s 95th birthday this week, and we celebrated with some cake. 🎂 Happy birthday, Barbara!

We’ve also been getting ready for Easter with a few themed activities, which everyone’s enjoyed getting involved in.

With the weather picking up, there’s been more time spent outside on walks, which has been really nice. We’ve also had plenty of pampering, along with games, arts and crafts, and time spent just relaxing together.

Six months ago, Nimmi was new to care, was very reserved and naturally nervous. With support from the rest of the Help At Home team, over the past month, Nimmi has come out of her shell and is a shining star with her new grown confidence.

It’s been another lovely week across the homes, with a nice mix of activities, time outdoors and a couple of special celebrations.

Residents have enjoyed some relaxing pampering sessions, including having their hair and nails done – always a favourite and a great way to spend some time feeling refreshed.

With the brighter weather, there have also been more walks out in the sunshine, making the most of the fresh air and brighter days!

We’ve had a couple of birthdays to celebrate too – Pat turned 73 and Terry turned 66. Happy birthday to you both! 🎂

Alongside this, we’ve kept up with all the usual favourites, including bingo, quizzes, arts and crafts, and a range of activities throughout the week to keep everyone engaged and enjoying their time together. ❤️

We’re pleased to now be able to offer nursing beds at our Rhyl home, providing another option for specialist nursing care in the local area.
