Are you experiencing the impact of the menopause? feeling overwhelmed, anxious, sleep deprived, to name but a few of the symptoms!

Community Connect is launching a peer led Menopause Cafe, where you can come and share your experiences, your emotions, gain support and feel empowered during this, often challenging and impactful stage of your life.

This is open to all, as menopause affects our partners and families, who often also feel overwhelmed and helpless in how to offer support.

Come along and help grow a community where talking about the menopause is not taboo, where women can thrive and feel valid and contributing.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the brilliant team at Impero Lounge who supported us during their 2025 Lounge Aid and raised an incredible £1,201.64 for the centre activities.

We really appreciate all the efforts and have enjoyed attending such a wonderful programme of events! Fundraising efforts like this enable us to continue opening our doors 5 days a week to our community, providing activities and services from age 4 months- 94 + years!!!💙

We’re excited to be supporting Portishead Youth and Community Centre in this year’s LoungeAid campaign!

As it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, it’s the perfect time to celebrate how lucky we are to have such an incredible space right on our doorstep.

A great community centre plays a huge role in supporting positive mental health. It offers a safe, welcoming place where people can connect, socialize, get support, and take part in creative and active programs. It helps reduce isolation and builds a strong sense of belonging, making a real difference in people’s everyday lives.

That’s why this June, we’re aiming to raise as much as we can to support the amazing work happening at the centre and help keep improving the town we all love ❤️
