If you've hit a wall with your strength training and don't understand what's going on 🫡🏻 Ask yourself are you pushing yourself enough?

If you're trying to up your weights you need to make sure you hit every single rep you planned to πŸ₯΅ even if you need a quick breather mid-set πŸ”₯

Stay consistent with this method, and your reps and weights will start going back up in no time πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

As the saying goes, "get comfortable being uncomfortable"

And this is so true for how you should be feeling come the end of each set when you're training. You want to feel like you're working at full tilt and don't have anything left on the tank come the end of each set πŸ’ͺ🏻

Don't let the weather get the better of you and cause an injury πŸ€• Training and competing through the winter months is when we tend to see an increase in injuries due to people not warming up sufficiently and then over-stretching and over-straining.

This year, don't be that person 🫡

Don't sit in your car with the heaters on full blast until the last minute before running straight out without getting your muscles and joints properly loosened up and ready for what's about to happen.

Take your time, warm up slowly and ease into it as your body gets warmer and warmer πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ”₯

🎯 Goal Setting can be a minefield when you simply don't know what to do or what goals are worth setting.

In our experience, it's always far more effective to have a performance related goal as your main focus.

Moving away from the generic goals around weight and how you look, to something more specific you can train towards, can help shift your mindset so that when those setbacks arise you see them as positives and progress along your journey rather than failure πŸŒŸπŸ“šπŸ’ͺ🏻

It's World Mental Health Day 2023!

A small piece of advice from us, and something hopefully someone else will find beneficial:

Simply allowing yourself to do nothing and switch off from the world for a little while.

Our lives these days are so busy and hectic, it's easy to see how people can become overwhelmed with everything, especially in the current climate.

Please don't force yourself to keep going if you feel like you could do with a break, give yourself that break.

The world won't change in a couple of hours but your mindset and approach to it can.

Switch off, relax, and if anyone needs someone to talk to please feel free to get in touch and let us be that person you can vent to.
