Candy Minshall, Co-Director of the Walnut Grove Wellbeing Community Interest Company (WGWCIC), has been reflecting on a year of strength, balance and belonging for the not-for-profit arm of the clinic in 2025.
Candy brings her experience and energy to Walnut Grove and has been instrumental in helping grow and flourish the WGWCIC.
“2025 was a standout year for Walnut Grove Wellbeing CIC, deepening its commitment to community health and connection. Across our programmes, people have been supported to move with greater confidence, build strength, and stay socially engaged, often discovering new possibilities for wellbeing along the way.”
Highlights from last year included:
💚 Falls Prevention - helping participants improve balance, strength, and independence, with many continuing their wellbeing journey in other classes. The course returns on Friday 27th March – more info to follow soon.
💪 Senior Strong - now welcoming 80+ people most weeks, boosting physical strength, confidence, and social connection for older adults.
🧘 Zen & Tone - our new gentle movement class blending calm, focus, and strength.
We’re excited to build on this momentum in 2026 and continue offering subsidised, inclusive health and movement therapy for our Portishead community.
