โจ๐๐ Yesterday I flew to Ireland for the final stage of my MSc Mindfulness Based Wellbeing. I spent the day before preparing to leave, working and had 3 appointments. Randomly, in each one I ended up talking about not having childrenโฆ..kind of explaining myself. Not in a negative way as such, as it was with people I knew and respected, but still not always the most comfortable. It was slightly weird in that I didnโt bring it up and yet, during all appointments it ended up there. Me not having kids.
During lunch today I was telling Oli about this weird day and the repetitive conversations I go through sometimes about being child free. We were in a small Irish town and decided to go into the local book store. Tidy, bright, modern. After about 10 mins of browsing there was a book at Oliโs feet. Shelves were tidy with no gaps. Weird. I told him he should pick it up as it might be meant for him. Turns out it was probably meant for me!! โHarpy: A manifesto for child free womenโ. By Irish author Caroline Magennis.
Iโve never heard of this book. But these serendipitous moments happen almost daily to me! โจFor a while I made a diary of all the unbelievable moments, but then there were too many. I wanted to share this one for some reason. We got to the hotel and our bath has a book stand! Perfect! The rest you can guess ๐๐๐ฅฐ
